Welcome to the famed Kiahuna Plantation Resort, located on the very desirable Poipu Beach. The Kiahuna sits on 35 acres of lush, tropical gardens, with orchids and lily ponds and boasts an expansive beachfront lawn surrounded by palm trees. The beach is a short stroll from our unit, #414, and is ideal for swimming and all water activities. The Kiahuna is the only beachfront condominium full resort in Poipu.........it's the best location in the best-weather area of Kauai. Numerous guidebooks, The Travel Channel, Conde Nast, etc, rate Poipu among the top beach destinations worldwide.
***We are implementing Hawaii Tourism official guidelines from CDC regarding cleanliness and guest safety. All guests are entering the condo that has been thoroughly, professionally cleaned and vacant for 24 hours prior to guest arrival.
Our condo is on the top floor,so sitting on the lanai you can lounge in total privacy,(no one can walk in front of you) and overlook treetops and the Partial Ocean View. (See photo). From here, enjoy the sight of blue water, sunrises and sunsets......enjoy coffee or cocktails with the ever-changing panorama of the Pacific right before you.
High ceilings, and wide sliding glass doors to the lanai contribute to an open, airy feel. The Lonely Planet Guide states that 'top floor condos are best at the Kiahuna'.
This condo is a one bedroom (king) plus pull-out sofa bed in the living room, maximum of 4 guests. Complete and newly remodeled kitchen, tile entry. Full bath, remodeled tile shower, with separate vanity area. Please note that there are 2 flights of stairs to the top floor ( no elevators) …..but the top floor has the views!
Right across the road, you will find the Athletic Club , tennis complex and swimming pool, --a three minute walk. Not all condo owners are members of this facility, but we are, so we can offer these amenities to our guests.
Also on the grounds -- the well-regarded Plantation Gardens restaurant. And the highly professional, gracious management company, right on site, will issue your keys and answer all questions, helping to make your stay a joy.They are avaiable for you 24/7. There is free wi-fi, free parking, and barbecues available for guests. The condo has a DVD player, and 2 flat screen TVs.

Great Location and Great Amenities
We had a wonderful time at this condo. It was conveniently located to beaches and activities. The grounds were lovely and we really appreciated the grassy area and beautiful beach, with the “beach shack” to get fresh towels and rent equipment. It was also just a short stroll to Poipu Beadh. The condo was equipped with beach gear, but the snorkel gear could have been better maintained. The condo had AC which we used at night to block the rooster noise, but most of the time we didn’t need it because the air flow in the condo was incredible! The kitchen was well equipped, although we would have appreciated some basic spices and the like. It also could have been a bit cleaner, some of the dishes were dirty, probably from a prior guest jamming too many into the dishwasher. Overall, an excellent location. The hosts were very communicative and welcoming.

We had an amazing visit! The property was easy to find and centrally located. We walked to food and beaches in less than five minutes. The lanai was beautiful and the AC worked great. Parking was right at the unit and so convenient. We even were granted some extra time to check out and the owners checked on us to make sure all was well! Will definitely be back.

A wonderful top floor condo with everything we needed for relaxing at the beach…chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear. It has a well equipped kitchen for cooking with a bbq close by. Super comfy bed. We loved the pool area, an easy walk across the street. The grounds are immaculate with several sandy beaches just a short walk from the room. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return soon!

Poipu Beach Dream
My little family of four stayed for several days. This spot worked well fo us with a big living area. The view of the ocean was great and Poipu Beach had beautiful views and several sea turtles. The only downside (if you are a pool person) is that the athletic club is a little far.

Perfect Poipu stay
We loved the south shore location in Poipu with all of the sunny days. Great condo and easy walk to the beach with great amenities of snorkel equipment, chairs, beach stuff, etc. The pool across the street and the gym were also outstanding!

Feels like home
What an gem in the Po'ipu area. This condo has everything you need to make your stay pleasant:
Full kitchen with all the essentials? Check!
Fully stocked bathroom? Check!
Comfortable bedroom with ample storage space? Check!
Beach chairs, umbrella, hats and water toys? Check!
High privacy with stunning views from the lanai? Check!
BBQ grills? Check!
You also get access to Po'ipu athletic club which is a short walk across the property or a super quick drive.
Beach towels are provided via a kiosk in the middle of the complex and you can exchange them as much as needed. And the beach is only a 7-8 minute walk away.
Another aspect we appreciated was the air conditioning. While opening all the louvers and the door to the lanai (we kept the screen closed at all times) allowed the trade breezes in and kept the unit comfortable most of the day, the AC was welcome when going to sleep, or the couple of days when the humidity was high and the breezes low, and once when there was maintenance work right outside the property. The bedroom does not have its own AC but the living room unit is more than plenty to keep the bedroom cool.
Should you find issues, call management and they will address them immediately. The owners also communicate to make sure everything is running smoothly and are open to feedback. I had arranged this trip as a surprise for my wife and the owners took the time to write her a personal welcome note.
