We have stayed here a few times now as it’s handy for attending both theatres in Plymouth. This time I booked the tower suite (dearest room) as a treat, great room and secret door to the lookout tower with lovely views, bathroom great lovely freestanding big bath. Now for the not so positive , room was very cold no rad’s were on - ( understand its a difficult time as end of summer coming into autumn and when do you turn the heating on ) but you shouldn’t feel so cold in a room. My husband did go down to reception and they said they would check the boiler room and also said they could bring some heaters up if the rad’s didn’t start to get warm. Next minute the water started coming through so it did warm up a little. They needed bleeding as not all the radiators were getting warm all over. We went out to the theatre, came back room didn’t feel cold so that was ok. Went to bed, bed was comfy but the noise from everytime you moved, turned over was unbearable so much so we were thinking of taking the mattress off and sleeping on it on the floor, needless to say we didn’t get much sleep at all. Then around 6am tubular bells started playing in the room - yes it was from the radiators with the heating coming one. We just wanted to get up have breakfast and go home for some sleep, so that’s what we did as soon as breakfast opened went down had that then checked out. We did explain it all to the lady at Reception who apologised and said she will get maintenance to look into our issues. Just feel disappointed with the whole experience and not sure if we will stay there again, will look for somewhere else in the area to stay.

This Travelodge is in a perfect location within a couple of minutes walk to bars shops and Theatre , also the hoe and just a little further the Barbican .It’s spotlessly clean and comfortable with friendly staff .there is nothing not to like about it !

Stayed here for my wives birthday, the team did a wonderful job of making the day special, we had booked into the Lady Jane suite which was just perfect, enjoying a couple of Spa treatments and access to the spa facilities which were fantastic. Then down for a meal in the evening at the Acleaf restaurant where the staff continued the excellent service and knowledge of the food. The staff across the site were amazing, professional and just a pleasure to interact with along. 100% will be coming back and would encourage anyone else to go and spend a night too!
