Bungalows Cordial Biarritz

I could almost give these Bungalows 5 stars just for the shower! But it actually gets 5 stars for everything! First there’s the cute entranceway – looking especially lovely and festive as it was Christmas. Reception staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout our stay. The gardens and pool area are well-kept and pretty. The bungalow itself was spotlessly clean and spacious, and I loved the style and layout, with the dining and living areas cleverly separated into distinct areas whilst being in one big room and a variety of lighting (uplighting, wall lighting, main light, etc). The kitchen was clean and tidy with a good array of utensils and crockery etc, with a proper fridge/freezer – not just a tiny freezer box. Also provided on arrival was a bottle of water and a very useful small washing-up pack. Just off the kitchen was an outdoor space for drying clothes, equipped with pegs too! The bathroom was large with a nice selection of environmentally friendly toiletries, including items you don’t usually get in other hotels like lip balm, emery boards, cotton wool, dental kit, razor, etc. The terrace was a good-sized area with 3 chairs and 3 sun loungers – presumably they provide for as many people as staying in the bungalow, whereas other places I’ve stayed only provided 2 even though there were 3 of us. And although we were roadside rather than pool or garden, it was not overlooked by passersby or neighbours. The safe was large and easy to use, though you pay a bit extra for this. We were self-catering but had the breakfast once. There was everything you would expect to find at a buffet breakfast and it was all very tasty, and well laid out considering the small space available for this. Sara (I think that was her name) was friendly and chatty, and replenished the breakfast goodies as soon as was needed. Yes, some of the indoor furniture seems dated but nothing that a sanding and repainting wouldn’t fix. I would absolutely recommend if staying in the area. Loved it.

Nice hotel a little dated the rooms could do with a bit of a make over but was ok for 3 star hotel. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need and clean. The complex is well kept the pools are nice as is the grassed area. It's a quiet place convenient for buses to. A bit of a walk to main beach and 92 steps!!!! Or further along not so many. Would use again if was in another area. Friendly and helpful staff. A nice little park for the kiddies and crazy golf.

Stayed here for first time last year, rebooked for this year and checking out tomorrow (funny story, we ended up in the same bungalow we were in last year). Cannot fault anything, the staff are great, the accomodation is great & clean, it's all great to be honest especially cause we prefer self catering, mostly for breakfast as we sleep in from the drinks the night before. This time was a couples trip and the other party booked after us so we emailed in about if we could be next to them (we were fully aware it may not be possible but wanted to ask), and they got us just 1 bungalow down from them which again they didn't have to do but they did it and it was very much appreciated. The location of this place is spot on, easy access to bus's, shops, Yumbo, and this time we had an excursion rep come around while by the pool so we booked some trips, it worked out well as we went looking on day 1 to book some but the stands were either closed or the person was away from desk. Thank you again for providing amazing accomodation and it's pretty much guaranteed when we return (which will prob be next year) we will be booking here again, why go elsewhere when this offers all you need coupled with great staff and great location.

When we arrived we was greeted by a lovely lady who I am ashamed to say we did not note her name. We were given our superior rooms that we had booked and in room 130 the air conditioning did not work in the bedroom. We were told the maintenance man would be there in the morning. He came and could not fix it so we were told that the air con company had to come out. We were offered another room but as we had unpacked we decided to wait for the repair. They were there for 2 days and could not fix it. The same lovely lady offered us another room again but we again choose to stay put so she offered us free breakfast for the remainder of our stay for not only us but also our other party who were in room 132. Sara the lady who works at breakfast and the snack bar went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and nothing was never too much. The rooms themselves are a little dated but have everything you need and with tv’s and aircon in the main room and bedroom (when working). I would absolutely stay here again. The pool area is huge and wasn’t too cold and there were plenty of sunbeds without having to do the 5am dash.

Well, what can I say? After the holiday from hell last year, (Not here, Eygpt!) we were a little nervous. I requested a certain bungalow after doing plenty of research and got it! So straight away we were off to a good start. A 2 bedroom superior bungalow right next to the pool. Air Con was touch and go, but rectified the next morning. As stated already some areas (furniture and decor) a bit dated, but we were at the pool or out the majority of the time, so didn't really bother us. The pool was cleaned daily, lifeguard on duty all day. Plenty of sunbeds. Close proximity to the beach, the steps were hard work, but doable. We are totally in love with the place, and will definately be back. Everywhere is clean and tidy, and everyone was really friendly. Upon arrival there was a male on reception, I didn't get his name, he was super friendly and super helpful. The proximity to everywhere we liked was cool. We loved the Yumbo Centre, literally a 5 minute walk! There was only 2 faults, and even they didn't ruin the holiday. First fault was No Parasols, therefore no option of shading from the sun. And the second, no late check out option. But as I said, that didn't make much difference to the holiday, we will still be back. Thank you Cordial Biarritz, for restoring our faith in holidays.

When we arrived there was a queue to check in and only one lady on reception. Credit to her as she remained calm, friendly and efficient throughout. The grounds are lovely, as is the pool. Unfortunately no umbrellas. The pool bar was closed most of the time, hubby went to get an ice cream when it was open to be told they hadn’t got any due to the machine being broken. The rooms are extremely dated which makes them look dirty. The first thing that hit me when entering the bungalow was the smell, I can only describe as mothballs. I’m extremely allergic to cats and one must have been in the room as I struggled to breathe most of the time. I’m a light sleeper and was lucky to get a couple of hours rest due to being on the roadside and the noise from coaches all through the night was horrendous. It wasn’t just the constant noise but the air pollution the coaches and traffic were kicking out, further aggravating my asthma. Out of the 10 days we were there by day 5 I just wanted to go home. The sheets weren’t changed while we were there. If you like quiet this is ideal- apart from the traffic noise.
