Hotel in zona Hamacamarte, Playa Del Carmen

Great location. Rooms are clean and big. Rooftop pool is great place to relax. There is a grocery store below hotel and it the best. Grocery store has hot food and tons of breads and pastries. Hotel is one street from 5th ave. Staff was friendly. Will be come back.

I’m posting this as a WARNING to other travelers. Don’t be fooled like I was with the beautiful pictures on the Casa Ticul website. The pictures were probably taken when the property was first opened and bear ABSOLUTELY NO RESEMBLANCE to the current condition of the property. The website claims that this is a 3 star property but if it was 1.5 stars that would be generous. Also don’t be fooled by some of the claims on the website either. I don’t know whether the property owners don’t know, don’t care or simply don’t have the resources to even perform the most basic of repairs and maintenance. But that doesn’t really matter, what matters is that you are not going to get what they claim you will with either amenities or service. So what was deficient: • The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in some time with black mold in the shower area. • Drapes falling off the rod above the window • No clock radio as seen in property photos • No mini fridge as seen in property photos and as stated in property listing • No fan in the bathroom which probably contributes to the mold accumulation • No hand soap • No toilet paper holder in the bathroom • Small bathroom window propped open with an empty toilet paper roll • Only 11 of 42 spray nozzles on the shower head emitted any water at all • No hot water • No premium bedding, in fact the bedding was stained with mold and other questionable items • No comforter as listed in the property description, only a single sheet. • No hair dryer as claimed in property description • The handle for water in the shower was broken • Dirty kitchen area • dirty bathroom • improper plumbing • no toilet paper holder in the bathroom • no safe as shown in room photos In addition, the pool in the property, which I was anticipating using, experienced not 1 but 2 algae blooms during the 6 days I was there. As a result I didn’t use the pool for fear of becoming ill due to unsafe, unsanitary conditions. In conclusion, this is a poorly managed property that has been neglected for some time. Even though they claim to have multi-lingual front desk staff, that is simply not true. In order to communicate with the front desk staff I had to use Google Translate. Even the manager has limited English speaking ability.

Parfaitement situé. L’hôtel se trouve à la fin de la 5e avenue et à 5 min à pied d’une plage Chambre spacieuse mais sans aération pour notre part. Seulement une petite fenêtre de salle de bain pouvait s’ouvrir. Du coup des odeurs de nourritures et de renfermé étaient présentes. Désagréables Piscines sur le Rooftop correct bonne température

Incredibile. Situazione eccezionale, il personale è molto piacevole e sorridente . Les repas sont d’une qualité remarquable !

Tutto è andato bene, le strutture sono un po 'antica ma di buona dimensione, suggerimenti sarebbe che aggiungere un asciugacapelli nelle camere e che cambiare le tovaglie perché durante il nostro soggiorno non ci hanno cambiato le nostre - Una tovagliola.

La posizione è perfetta! Accoglienza calda. Camere molto spaziose e decorazione raffinata. Un tetto straordinario

Our third trip in 2023 as we have been going to this resort for last 15 years was wonderful. Chris**as and New Year’s Eve buffets are outstanding. Maria Jose Trejo Perez recognized us at checking. She is very professional . Our waiters in the Captain Morgan very super nice and friendly, especially Taylor! The management also remembered we celebrate our wedding anniversary in December and always remember our birthdays with bottle of Bubbly and a treat‼️ One strange thing. We enjoy going to the Ala carte restaurants, La Fuente and La Trattoria. In the past we always enjoyed nice bottle of wine. In the last 3 years, the wines are outrageously expensive. Just an example:Bottle of The Prisoner ( CAD 55.00 or so) is 360.00 CAD. NOBODY buys any wines. We did speak with some staff few time, with no luck. These wines are going to be wasted as they don’t age well long term. Looking forward to our next trip March/ April

Non sono sicuro perché la bassa recensione su questo hotel. In realtà ho dormito meglio qui rispetto al resort che sono a Grand Riviera Princess. Ho portato i miei genitori qui per una notte per fare shopping al loro popolo 5° St (cosa che è così costoso - più costoso di quanto non sia il merce del resort). Ho prenotato online e il sistema ha suggerito la Master Suite da quando ci sono 3 di noi.... La SUITE MASTERS è letteralmente 3 camere!!!! In realtà sono andato giù per chiedere se hanno fatto un errore. Ho pagato solo un totale di $103!!!!! Ci hanno dato la camera 210 - che include 211 e 212!!!! ? 210- 2 letti regina 211 - letto divano con tavolo da pranzo (pensa come una sala da pranzo) 212- 2 letti regina Era così pulito e le letti, le mutande e i bianchetti sono tutti o così comodi. Poiché siamo rimasti solo per una notte, non ho potuto commentare su altre strutture, tranne che il miglior sonno che abbia mai avuto da quando sono arrivato in Messico.
