Hotel in zona Parcs Urbans salut, Platja D＇Aro

Une nuit féerique mais pour trouver une place c’est pas trop le compte de fée. Réservez le parking est une idée qui ne doit pas seulement vous traverser l’esprit mais elle est à concrétiser. Superbe piscine, normalement on peut pas plonger mais avec le bon angle on vous voit pas 😉 Le p’tit dej est top !

Ottimo hotel. Posizione pazzesca, comodo a tutti i servizi ed esattamente sul mare. Scendendo dalla parte sinistra c'è anche l'inizio di un percorso pedonale stupendo, che dura circa 3/4km con accessi alle calette della costa. L'hotel ha un bell ingresso e una vista mozzafiato nell'area bar/ristorante. 2 minuti a piedi dalla zona passeggiata. Parcheggio gratuito molto ampio. Kit di cortesia in camera. Inoltre abbiamo avuto la fortuna di avere una camera bellissima, in realtà erano due camere matrimoniali, di cui una con King bed, con un super bagno attrezzato di doccia vasca e bidèt!! Avevamo anche due graziosi balconcini e la pulizia era ottima. Ristorante non provato. Da consigliare e da ri tornare se in zona. Ottimo soggiorno!

I’ll start by saying that I’m writing this review whilst still holidaying. We came as a family- a mother, 2 daughters (in 30’s) and 19 month grandchild. We’re all inclusive and we are not picky at all. When reading other reviews of hotels we typically roll our eyes and say ‘you can’t please everyone’ or ‘it’s what you make of it’ so please trust me when I explain this hotel. I’ll start with the positives- the setting is beautiful- pool is overlooking the sea. The food is nice enough, there’s always something to eat, mainly pizza, pasta, chips and salad. (Salad bar is lush) Breakfast is our favourite meal. (There’s cereal, continental, pastries, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, bacons and eggs etc.) We found the beds comfy for all you only get one pillow, it’s decent. Martin, a waiter, FANTASTIC with the little one. Such a lovely man. He always greets us with a ‘hello love’. Meal times aren’t too bad either- Breakfast 8-10am Lunch 1-2:30pm and Dinner 7-10pm Thinks that’s about it really. It’s centrally located, we attempted to go for an evening meal twice. Everywhere is closed on a Tuesday (and some on Monday too) then places don’t open until 8pm, so with a little one, it’s no good. The hotel. Buckle in! There is a park when you first arrive, which is a death trap. There are little tree stumps sticking up, no bark or sand down, the steps up to the slides have huge gaps in them and the swing is on a wonk- it’s completely unusable. The beach- it’s not sand, it’s shingle, so sharp underfoot. The staff- the most rudest people we have ever met. It’s very much catered towards the French. When ordering a drink in the evening, I was at the bar, the waitress completely ignored me and served a paying Frenchman, after him, she served her colleague doing table service, couldn’t help myself at this point and I said ‘HOLA?!’ She looked at me in utter disgust and continued to serve her colleague. In Spain, you expect (rightly or wrongly) that the majority of people will speak English, basic, enough to get by, but not a word is spoken. I was heavily relying on my Spanish GCSE to get by. (2 male receptionists speak English and that’s it) I naturally really try abroad to understand the basics of their language but have always found English is widely spoken. It describes the hotel as family friendly- it’s not. There is a tiny pool which is full of leaves from the trees above- not well kept at all. The tiles on the floor are not the correct ones- it’s VERY slippy when wet. The pool is FREEZING. They have built in pool steps but no hand rail. No lifeguard either. We had a pushchair- getting down the ramp, it’s practically vertical with some grips missing. If you’re a wheelchair user, you wouldn’t be able to go down alone. Everything is on -1 floor, so a lot of steps involved. The lifts- there are 3 of them- lethal! They close when you’re getting in them, not allowing time at all, and the sensor must be knackered because they don’t open again. We found that

We just got back from a multi-day family stay at this hotel. We had been on holidays in this area previously but this was our first time at S'Agaro Hotel. The hotel's location is amazing as it's just a few metres away from a lovely beach. The hotel and facilities are nice, clean and very well presented. The staff were all very polite and kind. The breakfast was good quality although a bit repetitive. The price for our say was substantially higher than other similar 4 star hotels in the same area. One good thing was that their rate was cancellable which is why we booked it in the end. If some of the other 4 star hotels in the area had offered cancellable rates, we would have probably gone for a slightly cheaper option than this hotel. The rooms a bit smaller than we hoped for but were adequate and clean. One of the big negatives is about the swimming pool. Although there's a large board stating what is and isn't allowed, this is not monitored by hotel staff and most of the rules are disregarded by guests. For example, eating and drinking in the sunlounges or keeping their dogs with them. More worryingly, plenty of people vaped and smoked in the sunlounges and not just tobacco, judging by the smell, stronger stuff too, which for a family hotel I found very poor. Although access to the hotel's area by car is heavily policed by security guards, accessing the hotel's pool on foot is not controlled at all so we regularly so random people walking in, swimming in the pool and then just leaving the premises without anyone challenging them. This was the case with both a group of local young back-packers and also a group of noisy French guys. None of them disturbed us directly, but I thought it was a bit off putting. In the age of social media, I assume people tell each other that this pool is widely open to anyone and people just use it without being guests at the hotel. We were travelling with children and all this made use feel a bit uneasy in the pool area. The gym is basic and limited in terms of equipment, specially weights. Another negative is with regards to food and drink in the room. We all know that anything from inside the mini-bar is chargeable. However, this is the first hotel I see where they place items like coffee capsules in a table in your room and then charges you for consuming them, at the end of your stay. Finally, I understand the hotel is dog friendly and guests are allowed them in their rooms, however, I wasn't happy to regularly see people taking their dogs to the swimming pool area (not in the water though) and also have them in the outdoor restaurant during breakfast time. In summary, nice hotel in great location, a bit overpriced and needs stronger pool access control policies.

Struttura molto carina per essere un quattro stelle non ne vale nemmeno una! A livello di personale e di ospitalità meno di zero soprattutto il servizio per essere un quattro stelle non è nemmeno attento a levarti piatto dal tavolo non apre nemmeno una bottiglia e te la versa per essere un quattro stelle fa proprio pietà. L’unica persona che era molto simpatica accogliente e sempre con un sorriso è stato il recessionista di nome Kevin e le donne delle pulizie tutte molto accoglienti e simpatiche almeno loro dicevano buongiorno! La cucina era molto buona tutta roba genuina e fresca a parte la carne piena di nervi che nemmeno i cani randagi se la mangiavano !!! Il posto è davvero bello soprattutto per le persone pensionate ! La reception per essere un quattro stelle faceva davvero pietà non ti consigliava se chiedevi cosa si può vedere qui a Sagar cosa si può visitare non ti facevano vedere niente né un depliant né niente di niente e non ti consigliavano nemmeno vedi che quattro stelle Una bellissima terrazza del ristorante dove non puoi fare colazione non puoi pranzare e non puoi cenare vista mare perché fa parte del bar vedi che cretinata allora se io prendendo tutto incluso cioè ho l’inclusive pagando in più dovrei comprare qualcosa al bar per berla o cenare o pranzare nella terrazza vista mare ma stiamo scherzando ??! Ripeto questo non è un quattro stelle non ne vale nemmeno uno 1️⃣ ! Da non vederci mai più !

This was our third stay at the Elke Hotel and I don't usually write reviews as I stay at many hotels but this hotel is a jewel. A very good example of a four star hotel that deserves five stars. It has the right balance between privacy and amicable and honest service. Eugenia in particular has been wonderful every time we come. She is pleasant, helpful and good at her job. Also a big shout out for the rest of the reception team and the breakfast manageress - who remembered what we liked and made sure we had perfectly cooked fresh fried eggs every morning. The place and room are spotless and clean, welcoming and nice and new yet warm. the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Even though we had to change hotels for the last night of our stay in San Feliu as the were closing down for a few days after Christmas so the staff could spend time with their families for the holidays, we respect that as it shows management appreciates its staff . Thank you again for a wonderful stay. Oh and the Spa is fantastic - new and very clean and welcoming.

Che bel piccolo hotel. Non ho avuto il tempo di esplorare ancora come sono qui in un'emergenza familiare, ma questo posto è un piccolo gemello. Rimarrò sicuramente qui quando torno con il tempo per risparmiare. Avete mangiato solo le scale e il cibo era ragionevolmente prezioso e delizioso.L'atmosfera era amichevole e il bar e le aree di seggiolino esterno erano davvero benvenute con un ambiente accogliente. Ho fatto un sacco di viaggio in tutto il mondo e in passato hanno certamente pagato più per ottenere meno.

Auf unseren vielen Reisen haben wir schon sehr viele nette Gastgeber kennengelernt. Das Personal im Ancora gehört in dieser Hinsicht zur absoluten Oberklasse. Egal ob an der Rezeption, beim Abendessen, beim Frühstück sowie auch das Reinigungspersonal, alle waren sehr nett, hilfsbereit und fleißig. Unser Zimmer war schön groß mit einer schönen Aussicht über die Dächer hinweg durch einige Bäume auf das Meer. Auch hatten wir einen schönen Balkon vor unserem Zimmer. Wir hatten keinen Meerblick gebucht, keine Ahnung, ob wir ein Upgrade bekommen haben. Auch das Bad war ausreichend groß und es hat alles gut funktioniert. Die Dusche hatte einen kräftigen Wasserstrahl, war schön warm und hat ebenfalls gut funktioniert. Es war alles sauber. Unser Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt. Die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher haben frisch und angenehm gerochen. Man konnte selbst bestimmen, wie oft man die Handtücher gewechselt bekommt. Das Internet war nicht sehr schnell, aber sehr zuverlässig und stabil. In unserem Zimmer gab es einen recht großen LED Fernseher, den wir aber nicht genutzt haben. Trotz unserer orthopädischen Probleme konnten wir in den Betten sehr gut liegen, Diese hatten eine sehr gute Qualität. Es gab einen Aufzug, der gut und zuverlässig funktioniert hat. Obwohl wir in der absoluten Nebensaison Anfang März in diesem Hotel waren und das Hotel so gut wie nicht belegt war, haben wir ein hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet vorgefunden. Neben den kompletten normalen Standards gab es Eier, die auf Wunsch entsprechend zubereitet wurden, Bacon, sowie ganz ausgezeichnete regionale, katalanische Käse und Wurstspezialitäten, sowie regionale Süßspeisen. Der Orangensaft war offensichtlich frisch gepresst. Sobald etwas zur Neige ging, wurde unverzüglich nachgefüllt. Der Kaffee aus dem Kapselautomaten hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Abends konnte man im hoteleigenen Restaurant essen. Die Preise bewegen sich auf dem Niveau der ortsüblichen Preise. Die Gerichte, die wir hatten, egal ob es Hähnchen waren, Lammschulter, verschiedene Fischgerichte, sogar Seeigel oder Beilagen haben allesamt sehr gut geschmeckt. Vor dem Hotel sind sowohl auf der Straße als auch auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite ein großer privater kostenfreier Parkplatz für das Hotel vorhanden. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
