What a wonderful surprise A beautiful resort right on the beach 2 pools an efficient and helpful staff! Complete calm and beauty The concierge is helpful and Resourceful and organize the best visits Breakfast on the balcony is a dream There is a shuttle to the downtown and plenty of delicious places to eat

My family of 6 stayed for 2 days in an oceanfront suite with loft. The concierge was great and helped coordinate dinner reservations when we arrived as well as a snorkeling day trip. In the evenings they were great about shuttling us to Placencia and back as well. All meals were great, though I do wish we would have tried out more local places. The convenience of the roaming butler service was just too hard to pass up. Plus Placencia seemed like more of a bar hopping town than family friendly so I wasn't crazy about being there at night time. Weather was too windy for water sports but we did jump off the dock some and really enjoyed the pools. I worried a lot about bugs and brought all kinds of lotions and sprays but we didn't have any big issues. My 4yo played in the sand a lot and never saw sand fleas. I didn't realize the villas were all connected to each other. Luckily we only had 1 night where we could hear our neighbors, the rest of the time it was very quiet. If you are renting with the loft make sure your kids are older. The ladder to get to the top is just that, a large, slippery ladder. My kids weren't crazy about it especially when they had to get up in the middle of the night. Overall a nice and relaxing time. I love that the resort was small, my older kids had freedom and we felt safe. Oh and all the iguanas on the property were a huge hit!

I went on a week long fishing trip with a friend. What a fabulous place to come back to after a hard day of fishing. The people are very friendly. Service was impeccable. What we enjoyed the most was the food and how it was served. You can enjoy your meal anywhere on the property, in your room, at the bar at the beach under a palapa. We had to fish early and they brought our breakfast to go every morning right on time. I will be staying here every time i visit Placencia.

This was our 2nd time staying at Chabil Mar and we loved it just as much as the first. The villas are beautiful with large terraces, so spacious and well-stocked with extremely comfortable beds and excellent linens. Excellent on-site food and drinks that they will deliver to you anywhere on the property you request. The gardens are immaculate and lush. Location to us is perfect. Just on the edge of the village. Takes 5-7 minutes to get to the Placencia sidewalk when you walk along the beach. Shuttles run regularly from 4 pm to 10 pm so you can grab one from anywhere in Placencia to return you to Chabil Mar. Best part is the staff - they bend over backwards to help you with anything you need. Smiling, helpful and professional. Top notch all around. We will be back!

Perfect place for a 4-generation family gathering! Beautiful setting, comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and incredibly friendly and accommodating staff who worked with us to schedule a snorkeling outing and a boat trip to Monkey River jungle. They also helped us arrange a lovely and unforgettable dinner celebration on their pier. We were there over New Year’s Eve and had a blast dancing and singing karaoke! The resort is an easy walk to grocery shops and the town of Placencia. Highly recommended.

Belize was hands down our best ever vacation and Chabil Mar met every expectation we had from having a personalized chalkboard welcome note on arrival to the friendly shuttle driver at departure! One of our favorite Chabil Mar experiences was dining at our chosen location each meal, from our villa’s dining room table , our porch tables , the beach and the pier we just loved the cozy feel of not going to a restaurant like all of our other all-inclusive travels! Staff took care of every detail for our excursions and the excursions were exceptional, not a single disappointment in the beauty of our surroundings, the friendliness of the people and the array of wildlife we saw. Housekeeping kept our rooms clean, the bar and wait staff kept our cups full and the groundskeepers keep the beach clean and the greenery amazing. We did have an issue with patio lights being on all night and making sleep difficult but when we presented our concern the staff immediately made things right. I really appreciated that we had a washer and dryer in our room, ample seating options on our porch and comfy beds. We cannot say enough good things about Chabil Mar, it was above and beyond what we expected , the staff was phenomenal. We definitely would love to go back.

Beautiful property and great location! The grounds are very well maintained, food was good, service was great! Pools were fun, plenty of chairs/lounges at the pool and beach, view was very pretty, team raked the sand and seaweed each day. Close to town with a shuttle service (extremely nice man!)

Chabil Mar is home away from home. We loved the seashell decoration at the front of the hotel. It was a beautiful touch. The room is exquisitely decorated, the bed is not too hard or soft, and same with pillows. They have the air conditioning on and you can easily adjust to your comfort. When you are walking around, there is always someone greeting you, asking if there is anything they can do. When you call front desk they pick up immediately. Dining is beautiful. You can sit anywhere there are table and chairs and that is dining or relaxing with a drink. You get to choose if you want to eat/drink cocktails outside, outside on your deck, or inside. They will bring it to you. They have 3 pools, and many lounge chairs by the pool, by the beach, in the shade, and in the sun. Meals are delicious and reasonably priced. They offer many tours and activities (fishing, snorkeling, mayan ruins, monkey river, etc). They have added golf carts for rental to get around, but my favorite is the bicycles they offer. You just get a lock from the front desk and off you go on a bicycle of choice. It is so fun to explore the north village placencia area on bike. This was our 3rd time here and we look forward to our next stay.

I was at Chabil Mar Villas in Placencia Village, Belize, for a wedding, and honestly, it was incredible. The team made the whole 3-day event feel effortless—they went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Every little detail was handled, and they were always ready with solutions if anything came up. The hospitality was next level, and you could tell they genuinely cared about making the experience a memorable one. If you're looking for a gorgeous spot where the staff truly has your back, this is it!
