Great stay in a lovely condo at Chabil Mar. grounds teamed with beautiful flowers - bouquet in room at check in. Staff can arrange whatever you need. The booked our flights from Belize City to Placencia, provided transportation, arranged a private snorkeling and spearfishing excursion. We had most meals on the deck in front of our villa. Great beach and pools with lots of lounge chairs, plenty of towels and a great little bar. Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating. Can’t wait to go back.

We absolutely LOVE Chabil Mar!! Every.little.detail is perfect! From being greeted with a welcome drink...to the well appointed condos...to the fresh flowers in the room, to the amazing and attentive staff! Perfect place to call a home base to fully explore Belize...from the ocean to the jungle...you can do it all from Placencia since you are on the mainland. No additional puddle jumpers required once you get to Placencia. We spent a day island hopping and snorkeling the vibrant reefs and another day touring the tropical jungle on the Monkey River Tour! We will certainly be back!

Fabulous!!!! Beautiful. Ten out of 10 on it all! Food was the best in Palencia. Grounds looked like paradise. Staff and service were excellent - they went above and beyond for us. The front office gave us excellent guidance on the area and things to do. The condo was nicely equipped and comfortable. Coming back to reality is difficult but the experience was exceptional!

Our family group of 16 (ages 16- 80) stayed for a week and everyone had an outstanding time. The is a beautiful resort with kind and attentive staff. The proximity to the village was great for dining & shopping. Access to kayaks and paddle boards, on site massage, and plenty of seating & lounging options gave all of us opportunities for being comfortably together and apart. Even my non beach vacation loving husband decided that he wants to return next year for his milestone birthday.

Chabil Mar was absolutely perfect in every way. Our suite was beautiful and spotless. The staff has helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The grounds were like paradise and the pools lovely. The location convenient to town but just far enough to be peaceful! Special shout out to our shuttle driver Latchco who went above and beyond. Just an FYI, the beaches in Palencia are not White Sandy with Crystal Clear waters. They are suitable for swimming, but just so that you know that upfront. However if you love snorkeling, there are some amazing snorkel tours and one of the best reefs I’ve seen in a long time. Overall you can’t wrong with Chabil Mar. it was a wonderful experience!

The reviews and descriptions are accurate. One of the most comfortable and accommodating properties in Latin America. We spent 6 nights there. Every member ofthe staff, from kitchen, front desk, housekeeping, etc. went above and beyond to assist us (especially in a medical issue that came up). Also the people who do their tours -- guides and drivers -- were knowledgeable, flexible and fun to be with. Also located close to the village and shopping/restaurants, which is a plus.

Such a great time. Placencia, and Chabil Mar in particular, is such a perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. Once you book, they handle everything for your meals, excursions, travel. The excursions were so much fun and we loved the town but we also never wanted to leave the resort. Be on the lookout for manatees and a gray fox during breakfast and dinner. Lastly, all of the staff were incredible, so friendly and helpful. They were next level at an already next level resort.

The STAFF is amazing…Chris (GM) has assembled an amazing team. I mean….I cannot recall going somewhere for a week WITHOUT a service complaint. From reservations to pick up…to daily living….they pamper you….small venue..only 22 rooms….they don’t let outsiders in …so it is warm and personal.

Everything is perfect. Gorgeous grounds, friendly accommodating staff, excellent kitchen. Beautiful Villa, large, comfortable, all the amenities. I would not stay anywhere else on another trip to Placencia. Thank you so much for taking such great care of me and my daughter.
