Bed & Breakfast Wine & Cooking Penedès

We had the most wonderful stay at Marta and Magnus's B&B! From the moment of arrival, when they came out smiling to help us with our bags and offered us a larger room than we had booked because it was available, we felt welcomed and at home. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the bathroom was large with a great shower. The location is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards and a 15-minute drive from most of the Cava producers in the region if you want to go wine tasting. Breakfast each morning was a gorgeous feast. And the friendliest cat (Tom!) lives on the property. The highlight of our stay (and one of the highlights of our trip to Catalunya!) was the cooking class with did with Marta and Magnus; it was like being welcomed into their home for an evening of conversation, cooking, and delicious wine. We made the best paella either of us has ever had, and had such a great evening spending time with our wonderful hosts. We were so sad to leave, since we had such a wonderful time staying there, but we hope to return one day before too long!

A perfect spot to unwind and from which to explore! Marta and Magnus were very helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. Even in October, we still took a dip in the pool (but only after a warm day). Easy access to several towns and a very nice shared space by the pool to relax if you decide not to wander for an afternoon.

We simply cannot say enough positive things about our hosts and the property! Our room was so charming and the bed perfect! The breakfasts were unbelievably good and a cultural lesson in themselves! One word to describe them: WOW! You MUST take their cooking class while there! We learned SO much, had a GREAT time, enjoyed getting to know our fellow guests, and ate DELICIOUS dishes we helped prepare! So grateful that Marta sent home all the recipes with us and even helped us buy some of the paella ingredients when we had an epic language failure trying to buy them on our own! We also did the wine and cava tour and loved that, too!!! We were very grateful for Magnus driving because the pours were much bigger than wine tastings in the US! Haha! We came back to the most delightful, delicious lunch prepared by Marta and served outside by the pool, overlooking the vineyard. Then, I have to be honest - it was siesta time! This trip was our fourth time to Barcelona, and we were looking to do something different. This wonderful place fit the bill perfectly! It was such an easy drive from Barcelona (Take the tollway! Super easy to use!). The towns nearby offered a wide variety of restaurants with delicious food! Honestly, we can't wait to come back and just spend an extended time here!
