We always have stayed here whenever we traveled to Pittsburgh. This trip was not the best. We had no hot water whatsoever. And I looked back at reviews from months ago and it has been like that for months. And the heat didn't work at all. It was slightly warm and never did heat the room and it's winter! Will be checking out another hotel next time we visit.

We've stayed at this Marriott several times over the years because of it's location to PPG Arena but it's continued decline has me second guessing our return. Check in was a nigh**are and there is no hot water for showers unless you get up at 6am to clean yourself. We booked a room that should have had a fold out couch but I just had them bring a rollaway which they did quickly. I feel sorry for the staff that has to take the brunt of the angry customers. It's time this hotel goes through a massive renovation. Hot water is the first thing they need to address. Next, new electricity with outlets everywhere. The fridges need replaced, and microwaves need to be added to the rooms. These rooms cost too much for this.

The hotel had a classic or vintage feel to it. Could use some updating in certain areas. It was very clean. The bar prices were too high. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We went during a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game in the lobby was very busy due to hockey fans at the bar. The staff seem used to this kind of event, and worked very hard to accommodate.

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There were constant lines in the lobby for check in. Also for loading up elevators. There was absolutely no convenience store. One small restaurant and an overflow restaurant which were consistently understaffed and service was the absolute worst I have ever experienced. The server took my debit card and we literally sat at our table for 25 minutes when she gave the impression someone was to give us our check earlier causing me to feel as though she misplaced my card. Will definitely be checking my account for fraud. This is how awful this place is. ONLY positives were comfortable bed and location to PPG Arena. Otherwise this hotel is at the most a TWO star hotel charging 4-5 star rates. STAY AWAY FROM IT!!! Feel as thought I deserve a refund but whatever…will ABSOLUTELY NEVER stay here again.

In town to see the Pens retire Jagr's number, so reserved a room for Sunday night. Check-in early, but the room was not ready. Apparently Drake was in town the night before and those guests were hard on the housekeeping. No big deal-game was at 6, surely the room will be ready at 930 when I am back, right?
Wrong. I waited in line to check-in and get a room key for 25 minutes, and it was almost 10pm at this point, so I decided I'll just drive 5 hours home. The great night continued when the valet would not get my car unless I paid him $40. So, not only was my room not ready at 10pm, the valet robbed me of $40 on the way out.
At least seeing Jagr's number retired was worth it, but I'll never step foot on this hotel property again, and would suggest you do the same.

The hotel was not prepared for a concert weekend.
To check in was over an hour of wait just to get to the receptionist, then you had to make another line once checked in to see if a room was available since the hitel overbooked
The rooms seemed to be rushly cleaned; the bed covers were not cleaned it was stained same as for towels. The shower water was cold.
The only great thing i can say was one of the receptionist lady did her best in getting a room available and was much faster than the othet receptionist. Mind you she had to lines of checking customers in.
