Authentic barn conversion in picturesque Stonor Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty. As you enter the barn through tall glass doors, you come into an open-plan sitting room, with double height ceiling and a comfortable seating area. To the right and still part of this open plan room, is a dining table that seats up to 12 and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven, hob and a dishwasher. Also on the ground floor are two double bedrooms and a bathroom.Upstairs, the barn is made up of two large mezzanine rooms accessed by two staircases flanking the fire place. To the right above the kitchen and dining area is a large family bedroom (described under Accommodation) and to the left on the mezzanine is a Games Room, with a full sized billiard table. The fire place is a focal point of the open plan living room and is in good working order, logs will be provided although the barn is centrally heated.There is no washing machine or tumble dryer but a laundry service can be provided at an additional cost by the owner.Accommodation:This property is advertised for 12, it is ideal for that number if shared between two families with children but for an adult group wanting their own space and privacy we would recommend it for a group of 6, two in each of the three rooms. There is one sofa bed (x single) and one truckles (single bed in Master with one truckle below) if people want their own bed due to your group dynamic. Please let us know if these need making up. Please note there is only one bathroom!The bathroom is spacious, with loo, sink, bath and separate wet-room shower.The accommodation comprises:x 1 double bedroom that sleeps 3 (1 double bed and a single bed, there is a truckle under this single bed so could work for two children)x 1 double bedroom that sleeps 2 (1 double bed)x 1 family bedroom / children's room - this is located on the mezzanine level and sleeps 7 (x 3 double beds and one single sofa bed). You are right in the middle of it all, but equally 5 minutes from the river and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Henley has a number of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and pubs - all on your doorstep and Henley Regatta is walking distance from the apartment.This mews development has recently had a complete renovation so you will benefit from stylish modern living throughout and is super spacious. It has 2 carpeted bedrooms: Bedroom 1: large with an en-suite shower/WC wet room and is at the back of the property (King size bed)Bedroom 2: overlooks Market Square. It can be set up as 2 single beds or one king size. There is an additional shower room/WC. The kitchen is brand new and fully fitted with granite work tops and integrated appliances. Designated as an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" the Hambleden Valley has some of the most spectacular and characteristic Chiltern scenery: high ridges, beech woods, sweeping dry chalk valleys yet it is only 20 miles from Oxford and 25 miles from Heathrow.This unspoilt, beautiful location offers a wide range of attractions to suit the whole family: from the finest walking and cycling paths in the Chilterns to boat trips and picnics along the nearby river Thames, visits to grand stately homes and shopping in the pretty riverside market towns of Marlow and Henley.Old Rose Cottage dates back to the 16th century and it has been sympathetically renovated to provide all comforts while preserving its character. And it is easy to see why. Nestled in the Chiltern Hills, the postcard perfect village will give you the impression of stepping back in time with its tranquility and its delightful cottages, most of which date back to the 16th century. The breathtaking countryside of the Chilterns is without a doubt the best attraction of the area, and it is itself well worth a stay.The best ways to explore the surroundings is walking or cycling, and the Ridgeway, The Thames Path and the Chiltern Way are here for you to do just that.
