Pingyao Zhonghuixuan Inn (Gucheng South Street Shilou Branch)

雖然離店時老闆娘很客氣地送了我一小瓶客棧**醋，但是我還是想説一下自己真實的入住體驗，供跟我需求一樣的旅客參考。因為這個客棧好評很高，所以慕名而來，但是實際入住發現，除了外觀確實很古風，內部設施就是招待所水平，空調老舊，裏面發黑，估計從未清洗過吧，因為天氣不熱但是房間很悶，打開空調後吹出了很陳舊的煙味，雖然小孩抗議，稍後我還是關掉了空調，但是它仍然成功誘發了我的咽炎，到今天嗓子有點啞和癢😓😓買了念慈菴枇杷糖不管用，希望能再堅持一下別吃消炎葯。其次，房間肯定不超過25平米，一張大炕7.2平，空地沒有炕寬，就算也是7.2平，衞生間乾濕未分區，洗臉枱很小，加衞生間門口那塊空地，就算也有7.2平，一共不到22平，就算我算少了，再加3平，也衹有25平，和網頁上標註的35—40平肯定是相差甚遠的，住過標準化酒店的應該有體會30平左右的酒店有多大。此外，酒店老闆推薦的早餐店“美味廚房”真的很難吃，看圖片點了個攃格鬥，端上來跟扯細碎的刀削麪差不多，跟圖片粗獷風格完全不一樣，豆腐腦也很扯淡，唉，算了，旅遊在外哪有不掉坑裡的時候呢？最後我們離開時説要打車去王家大院，我們已經看過滴滴的大致價格，再加來回32的高速費都承擔，最後也是150，但是離開時老闆還是一臉真誠地跟我説，可以包車240，我心裏很無奈地很諷刺地笑了笑説不用瞭然後拖着行李離開。入住當晚去古城南大街逛回來，進門發現房間掉牆皮了，諸多感受吧，我再也不會住客棧類甚至民宿了，快捷、舒適或高檔的連鎖酒店，至少是設施配置和衞生標準的，是有下線的。今天帶着咽炎回漢了，還是要謝謝老闆熱情地在下東門接，幫忙搬行李上樓，以及老闆娘送的醋。圖片其中兩張是客棧發佈在網上的。

We stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property. Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it And it does feel and look like a traditional house. You feel you are going back in time. Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs. He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city. Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions. Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him. Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm. On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour. Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class. The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk. The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.
