De Hotel

In 1942, Mr. De-Tsai Chang founded the De-Hsing Rice Mill. Many of the Chang family children grew up running and playing in this vast rice yard, before eventually branching out and building lives of their own. Now, the third generation of the Chang family has chosen to return home and lovingly establish DE hostel. It's not only a tribute to the legacy their grandfather built with his own hands, but also a heartfelt offering to travelers and those from Chutian who’ve been away. Come home, take a seat. At DE hostel, leave behind the noise and busyness of the city. Feel as though you've returned to your countryside roots—where life moves slowly and gently. Enjoy quiet days of reading and farming, watch purple morning glories climb the brick walls, take a stroll to the old village pavilion for a savory bowl of tangyuan, and wander the green fields and winding paths to experience the charm of Hakka culture.
