Baymont by Wyndham Pine Grove I-81

The motel is very clean, and our room was in good condition with excellent facilities and nice touches, including toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving cream and a razor, plus the usual soaps, shampoos and lotions. The night manager was very helpful and has a great sense of humor. Beds are very comfortable. The place is a great find!

Recent stay May 2025 It seemed to be the second best option for the Pine Grove. Apparently the neighboring competitor has some serious safety concerns. Reportedly failed to complete safety related repairs. Housekeeping could have been a bit more attentive. Seems the facility was in the process of renovating. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The toilet water was running all night and making a lowed noise that kept awaking us up all night.

You get what you pay for. It was about what I’d expect for an $88/night room. The hvac in my room didn’t work, bathroom was out of toilet paper, shower curtain rod was falling off the wall. The nightstand by the bed looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. Someone tried to enter my room the following morning as I was getting around. The smoke detector in the adjacent room was chirping all night and the battery’s were taken out of the one in my room. It was late, I was too tired on my trip to really make a big deal about it. I got a hot shower and a place to crash for about 8 hours. I guess you get what you pay for.

Not sure why I was charged $4.25. The staff member said its for incidentals, but would be refunded after I leave a whole day later, still no refund.

This is my review after a 5-day stay. When I first checked in, I got the wrong room. After moving to the correct room style, it looked like it hadn’t really been prepared. The stove was rusty and had unfinished wood laying over top it, there was no cookware or utensils, which I didn’t see mentioned in the booking. I was told it’s being your own cookware. The shower was dirty and when I asked if the front desk could clean it (at their convenience) they said sure and never did. Towels were never refreshed and trash can was never emptied during my stay. There was no hot water during my entire stay; I asked about it twice, the first time they told me it couldn’t be fixed and then I mentioned it again checking out and they said I “should’ve asked sooner”, they have to manually turn it on. During the middle of the night someone tried to enter our room, I asked the front desk if they could check to see if it was just a guest mixup or someone at the property trying to get in, but they never followed up.
