If you want a stay which is out of ordinary in Lithuania, stay in Best Baltic Panemunė! The hotel is in medieval castle – there are even firing ports in the rooms! Rooms are furnished with antique furniture and decorations. However, mattresses and pillows are very modern and comfortable, bed linen and towels very clean, bathroom installations of excellent quality. The only problem may be beds for taller people – in olden times people were shorter, so if one is over 175 cm, there might be some inconvenience. Breakfast was good, dinner that I had at the hotel restaurant was excellent, even though I arrived almost at the closure time, they managed to make some very delicious food. Do not forget to have a good walk around – there is a nice park and views of the castle are amazing.

We booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary and hoped for something special, since this is a castle, but it did not meet our expectations. It is true that the furniture in the rooms is authentic (which looks nice) but, truth be told, it is old. The side of our dresser was cracked and it was hard to open the drawers. The bed was short and my husband who is tall just couldn't lay in it straight, so we didn't get a good night's sleep. The TV was ridiculously small (we didn't use it as it would have been a pain to watch it). We read many bad reviews about the restaurant of this hotel; therefore, we didn't have dinner here, but breakfast was good. Wi-Fi did not work in the room.
