Tropical Palms Resort & 4WD Hire

Tropical Palms is an idyllic accommodation choice set in Picnic Bay, Magnetic Island. Picnic is quieter than the other bays, but also has the beach and hotel and dining choices just two minutes down the road. I have stayed at Palms a number of times, and our hosts Rob and Jen are lovely people who provided just the right level of helpfulness. The room, and indeed the resort itself, was spotless and with timeless tropical-themed decor and a coastal vibe. We had all the amenities needed for a self-sufficient stay: cooktop, microwave, sink, large fridge and kitchen utensils. We were in room number seven, which had a table in the courtyard at the back, as well as one inside. We were directly opposite the pool and, as we went early in the week when visitor numbers are fewer, I believe I was the only one using the pool over the three nights we were there. Getting a queen bed room with a couch was also a great idea as it gives a lovely lolling around alternative to the bed. For a hotel room there were plenty of place to perch.

Had a lovely stay at the Tropical Palms. Great hospitality and fantastic service. Nice pool and BBQ area. The rooms were clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Good value for money. I would love to come back and would recommend Tropical Palms to everyone traveling to Magnetic Island.

Quiet and relaxing and lovely cool garden and pool area. Very friendly owners/staff thankyou for your hospitality. Tropical Palms is a short walk to Picnic Bay Hotel and jetty and the brewery and coffee shop. There are a few walking tracks close by and swimming in the enclosure.

What a delightful find. A great base stop for exploring Picnic Bay & Magnetic Island, in general. We stayed nearly a week & was most enjoyable. Jennifer & Rob were great Hosts, with attention to detail about a few things, not only to make things comfortable but safe. The Unit was clean, tidy, spacious & accessible. Waking to hear the nearby Currawongs, was enjoyable. If there was a fault with the room, I'd have to make mention about a spot for placing your bags or luggage upon. We improvised & that worked. But, overall, the stay was lovely. First time staying on the Island, apart from a day trip, 26years ago.

We arrived while the office was closed already, they left us instructions, perfect start! The location is great, nice sunset at the jetty. Big room, comfortable beds, good shower and AC. The owner has a lot of recommendations around the island and mainland as well. Thank you for our pleasant stay!

The perfect place to stay and enjoy Magnetic Island. A warm welcome, spotless & spacious accommodation in a great location. Walking distance to restaurants at Picnic Bay. Beautiful gardens, a pool and BBQ area. So sad to leave this slice of paradise.
