The Chilli by Golden Ray

We had a great stay! A 2 minute walk from the main Bangla street, Friendly staff, clean room, everything you need. Staff was present at all hours to assist with anything needed. Sham was very knowledgeable about the area and offers great insight on what to do during your time in Patong.

The room is not as expected. Just like a local cooli room. Not even average setup for room.

Cons: Official photos are very misleading. Very unsafe elevator. Doors don't close easily. Room was rarely made each day unless I specifically requested it. Pros: great location - easy walking distance to lots of tourist stuff but hotel is tucked away from it nicely so that you're safe and in a quieter area! Decent view from the balcony. Hot water and good pressure in the shower.

The hotel does not look like the photos. The booking site did not mention that they only accept cash for deposit. There is no elevator and so many stairs, annoying when you have to carry luggage. The hotel does not look remodeled as mentioned.

If I was you I would choose to stay somewhere else, staff at the front desk are rude and not welcoming or friendly at all. They try to charge you 3,000 TBH for a deposit for a room key which is massively overpriced as if it’s damaged or lost they only cost 1,000 THB to replace. The photos on this website do not represent the actual place AT ALL. Couldn’t be further from the truth, unsure what has been renovated as this isn’t visible anywhere. The toilet down in the lobby was dirty and didn’t flush properly. In the room one of the lights didn’t work, the tiles on the floor were loose and creaky, there were these weird little flies all over, there were cigarette ends on the floor in the corridor. When they came to clean the room they took our towels and didn’t replace them. Only good thing about this hotel is that it’s close to the center. There’s not many bad reviews on this website but if you go on Google, which we should have, then you will see many bad reviews about this place.

Good location, very convinient. Rooms and the hotel itself differ from the pictures, not in good condition as shown but is okay, good value for the price.
