Oceanfront Beach Resort

We stayed 3 nights, it's was nightmare becos the air conditioner was very noisy. The beddings was so wet even all the interior. The breadfast didn't have many choice but it's fine for us. Only the location is very good with shuttle bus to Patong and have a wonderful swimming pool.

GOOD: 1) The highlight of the hotel is there is a 24 hour snooker room, it is free of charge, except 2 set of snooker tables, there is also a table soccer there, it is very impressive and rare. The swimming pool / squash room / gym room / library are also 24 hour & free, you can directly go to enjoy and even do not need any reservation. 2) Have to mention the breakfast, I would say it's world class, many choices for you including Thai, Chinese even indian food, you can even have ice cream & Thai fruit shake for free, I would say you can even consider it as a lunch. 3) free shuttle buses transfer from hotel & Patong town center (every 15 mins) until 8:30pm everyday. BAD: 1) check in is slow, the communication of the staff needs to be improved. 2)There is a local tour registration desk in the lobby, the staff there would make a call to you in early morning to sell you their tour, which will disturb you. 3)one day at about 6:00am when we were still deeply sleeping, someone(suspected a staff) pushed the doorbell, then the TV auto started itself, it was very scary. 4)They did not do housekeeping & daily necessities in the afternoon, even though you had turn on the housekeeping indicator ligh.

This is new hotel and hotel reception staff is completely arrogant and not good attitude, they dont have water, tissue or anything whatever u ask they’ll say no to you. They dont send extra water to room even though u ask many times. This hotel reception staff including travel desk staff will smile at guest like bar girls when u don’t give tip. Restaurant food and staff, room is ok. If this hotel need improve they must change hotel reception staff immediately, they’re not professional in treating customer. I’ve given clothes for laundry but when the bill comes it’s 2KG, I’ve asked are u sure it’s 2KG which I think it’s not but they replied you should have check weight before giving to us or else u can’t argue. How can staff talk like this. I’ve just ask what I feel and they also can reply properly it’s not sir that’s it. They’re sitting in reception and making fun of every customer in Thai language including me. I speak Thai so I can understand what they talk. They’re completely shocked when they know at time of checkout that I can speak Thai. All in short to hotel investors that if u want to grow your hotel you should change hotel reception staff immediately, they’re rude otherwise customers won’t return back and give negative reviews. This hotel is little far from Patong main market that’s also negative in this.

Stayed for 6 nights in the Grand Ocean Room. Beautiful and comfortable room, with modern decor, a big bath tub and a balcony facing the sea. The location is decent: it is located along a more peaceful, quieter area of Patong, which is about a 10min drive away from Bangla Road and the main touristy area. We rented a car and parked at the hotel lobby/parking area, so getting around was quite convenient for us. There's also a 7-Eleven just next door. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked really well maintained with a nice view of the sea. We opted for the breakfast buffet. The eating area was really spacious and provided a nice open view of the ocean. The food was also exceptional, with a good spread of both Asian and European cuisine, plus a drinks bar. The selection doesn't change much day to day so some people might get sick of it after a longer stay, but it was good enough for us. A small issue we had is that the room service was a bit inconsistent: sometimes the drinking water and toiletries were not replenished, but the toothbrushes that we used and placed in the open were discarded after 1 night. The shower gel and shampoo provided also didn't lather well so we preferred to buy our own. We also had a minor issue one morning with the door lock as it got stuck and we were locked out after breakfast, but the hotel staff were able to fix it very quickly within 30 minutes. Regardless of this, we would definitely consider coming back here again on our next visit!

Friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are modern, clean and spacious. Walking distance to Patong Beach and Bangla Road. Awesome swimming pools.
