We booked for 4 nights and we arrived and booked in. They showed us to our room which was effectively a metal box similar to a shipping container perched above the swimming pool. It looked interesting but it was very very small inside. Because of Thailand heat it has to be said it was stifling hot inside. It was unbearable. There was a small air conditioner mounted on the wall which we switched on full and waited 1/2 an hour. There was hardly any cold air coming out of it at all even in the lowest setting. We were both stifled with the heat. It was even worse in the small adjoining toilet/shower. It didn't smell clean we noted. Because of the lack of proper air conditioning we decided not to stay any longer as it was so uncomfortable locked in the small metal container room. We asked for our money back but we had to pay 900 TB for the night we didn't stay in. The Thai manager didn't accept that the air conditioner wasn't up to the job at all quoting me how many BTU's it was supposed to throw out. The fact was that the aircon didn't do the job of cooling the tin box room down making it very uncomfortable to be in. We tried the restaurant food before checking in and it was typical Thai Isaan cuisine which we liked and sitting on the pontoon by the Mun River was a nice experience eating our lunch. We would loved to have stayed and seen the beautiful sunsets here but the Accommodation simply wasn't up to scratch to be anywhere near the so called bedroom which was a effectively a tin box that held the heat equipped with a cheap ineffective aircon unit.
