Hilltop Residences

It was a nice stay in general. The residence was quite big, clean and modern, with a lot of electric sockets in all rooms, even in bathroom. It had a great view of the sea. When we asked for a pillow as we were 4 persons and there were 3 available, the responsible person brought it to us on the next day (she tried to bring it on the same day but by mistake she left it in another residence). We did not have any issue with insects as all windows and external doors (except bathroom) had a mesh screen, and it was possible for us to stay late at night on the balcony, playing board games without issue. The only drawbacks: 1) Passage from parking area to residence did not have enough light so we had to use our mobile phones' strong light, and 2) The access from the road was easy to lose if you do not know the area (we know the area so we did not have an issue). A good quick solution for visitors is to have the big hotel Sunrise Hotel as a spot that is in the same turn of the road. However, residence owner should change the current Hotel sign with one with light or at least with one with light reflection so that it can easily be seen at night. By the way, the property did not send us check-in instructions via email before arrival, but we called the owner 1 day before arrival date and he provided the instructions needed: if someone wants to use a map app, they need to use the iMaps app in an iOS device, if available, as google maps does not lead you correctly to the hotel. Another good suggestion would be to add 1-2 11 kW chargers for electric cars in the parking area. I could not use my electric car in these holidays as there was no fast charger close to the area, so I had to get the one using unleaded gas (not the best option for me). Adding such chargers will give important advantage to the hotel owner versus the other hotels that have not installed one yet as more and more people are using electric cars (just consider that the company I work for have globally decided to change its global car fleet to electric cars until end of 2025). In our Greek affiliate, we will complete this change by end of 2024, so that about 110 cars will all be electric until then (and just consider that this is just a single company, while more and more companies worldwide are switching their fleets to electric cars).

Ενώ επιβεβάιωθηκε η κράτηση μέσω mail, οπως φαινεται και στη φωτογραφία, καθώς και τηλεφωνικά κι εφόσον μας πήρε ώρα να βρούμε την τοποθεσία του καταλύματος, όταν φτάσαμε δεν ήταν κανείς εκεί να μας εξυπηρετήσει. Δεν απαντούσε κανείς στο τηλέφωνο και κατόπιν συνεννόησης με άλλον πελάτη ενημερωθήκαμε για τα κλειδιά και μπήκαμε στο δωμάτιο. Το βράδυ κατέφθασε μια παρέα όπου έψαχναν να βρουν το δωμάτιο τους και ύστερα από ώρα επικοινωνιας στα τηλέφωνα, ο ιδιοκτήτης άρχισε να φωνάζει, να μιλάει άσχημα και απότομα και να μην ακούει τα όσα του έλεγα. Η απάντηση του ήταν ότι ακυρώθηκε η κράτηση μου ενώ δεν είχα καμία ενημέρωση σχετικά με αυτό. Μου ζητουσε το mail και η απαντηση μου ηταν οτι είναι πολυ αργα για να μου στείλει την ακύρωση κι ότι θα έπρεπε να είχα ενημερωθεί νωρίτερα . Έψαξε τα στοιχεία μου και εκείνη τη στιγμη έστειλε την ακύρωση σε mail, προφανώς ως αποδεικτικό, με ειρωνικό ύφος όπως φαίνεται στο επισυναπτόμενο αρχείο. Αναγκαστήκαμε να εγκαταλείψουμε το κατάλυμα στις 12 το βράδυ, καθως περίμεναν και τα υπολοιπα άτομα, λέγοντας μας ότι δεν έχουμε πληρώσει, ενώ ο ίδιος ακύρωσε την κράτηση. Ψάχναμε να βρούμε κατάλυμα 12 το βράδυ και δεν εξυπηρέτησε ούτε σε αυτό. Απαράδεκτη συμπεριφορά και αγένεια. Επιπλέον, στο δωμάτιο υπήρχαν αρκετά ζωύφια και το καζανάκι δεν λειτουργούσε. Μας πήρε ώρα να το φτιάξουμε. Η θεα είναι πολύ ωραία, ωστόσο ο δρόμος για να φτάσεις θέλει προσοχή.

Τα σπίτια είναι σε μια τέλεια περιοχή. Η θέα τέλεια. Αλλά μέχρι εκεί. Για να φτάσεις πρέπει να μπορείς να οδηγείς σε ένα στενό ανηφορικό χωματοδρομο. Δύσκολο πάρα πολλή για μέρα πόσο για νύχτα. Τα δίκτυα κινητής τηλεφωνίας δεν λειτουργούσα πάρα μόνο στο σαλόνι. Το τηλ. δεν έπιανε στην κρεβατοκάμαρα. Το ένα δωμάτιο μικρο για 2 άτομα, ενώ ένα 3 άτομο κοιμάται σε καναπέ μέσα στον κοινόχρηστο χώρο. ΑΝ ξυπνάς πρωί ξυπνάει και αυτό μαζί. Στο μπάνιο δεν υπάρχουν κρεμάστρες ούτε καν για το χαρτί τουαλέτας και το ντους δε δούλευε. Τελικά όλοι κρύβουν τις ατέλειες τόσο ομορφα. Έπρεπε να φύγω μόνη μου με το αυτοκίνητό και έκανα προσευχή να μην ανέβαινε άλλο αυτοκίνητο ταυτόχρονα στον στενό δρόμο....
