Everything is awesome at Kinkara. Food, location, amenities, staff… everything is so perfect. We’ve been there for 3 nights (2 adults and 3 kids) and enjoyed every minutes. Horseback riding, yoga, cold plunge included with your stay. If you’re into intermittent fasting, you will fail every single day because it’s impossible to not eat the fabulous breakfast included with your stay. The views from the restaurant are common area is so nice. The common bathroom is nicer and cleaner than most of the luxury hotel. Thanks Kinkara team !

Perfect for Solo Female travelers, amazing food; excellent vegetarian/pescatarian menu! Yoga classes, various spots for meditation / read a book, safe and short hike to the river for a swim, extremely friendly staff, would definitely go back!

This place is pure magic. Everything was spectacular. Amazing attention, good, ambience. The local staff is a jewel and they make you feel right at home. Would definitely go back again and again. A must see for people wanting a holistic local experience.

The fact that the restrooms are quite far from the tents, is a complete deal breaker for me. On top of that I think the staff lacks and important amount of training. We arrived around 5pm, so we asked about the dinner, the answer was: we will let you know when you can have the dinner, when the usual and mandatory would have been: we served the dinner between x hour and x hour and you are welcome to come at any time between that frame, we were never advise when was the time to have dinner. so we finally when outside the property to have dinner. Breakfast, was served to us before our entire party was seating down, we were missing two people, so I told the waiter: you are serving the breakfast (we didn't asked for breakfast to be served and we were not asked if we wanted the breakfast served) before we were ready, and he answer was: ahhh ok and he left !! When the normal expectations, would have been, him to say, no problem, I will take it away and will bring it back (hot) when you are all ready, but that was not the case, we ate a cold breakfast. The place itself is beautiful, but for sure is not the place for my group.

It really was a new experience. It was a special trip as a gift to my lovely daugther. We shared together and enjoyed alot... The horseback riding was amazing.... loved the view at night We really had fun a good memories. All the staff were excellent and helpul. Thanks so much to make our trip an unforgettable experience. Auf unserer zweiwöchigen Mietauto-Rundreise durch Costa Rica war dies eine der schönsten Unterkünfte. Auf einem grossen Anwesen sind 20 Zelte in einem grossen Kreis aufgestellt. Weil wir die einzigen Gäste waren, hatten wir dort die perfekte Ruhe. Inmitten der Anlage hat es einen grossen Bereich, wo man z.B. Yoga machen kann. Beim Hauptgebäude hat es gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten mit schöner Aussicht. Zwei Details: Weil es bei Sonnenbestrahlung im Zelt rasch heiss wird, wird man schon früh wach. Ausserdem ist das Gemeinschaftsbad (sehr geräumig und sauber) zu Fuss ca. 2-3 Minuten von den Zelten entfernt. Damit man in der Nacht den Weg findet, stellt das Hotel den Gästen Lampen zur Verfügung. Das Restaurant bietet eine gute Auswahl an Speisen, das Personal ist sehr nett und das Wifi funktioniert überall hervorragend, was die Planung der weiteren Reise erleichtert. Einzig beim «inbegriffenen» Frühstück waren wir überrascht, als wir gewisse Speisen dann doch bezahlen mussten. Die Anfahrt zur etwas abgelegenen Lodge führt mehrere Kilometer über eine Schotterpiste, die jedoch mit der gebotenen Vorsicht gut zu befahren ist. Der Aufwand lohnt sich, die Anlage ist wirklich sehr schön. Die Stille und die Dunkelheit haben uns beeindruckt.

Lindo lugar para ir con la persona ideal, en mi caso no fue así. El lugar es impecable en limpieza y atención, cuidan los detalles, los senderos y jardines están bien cuidados. Los baños son un sueño. El desayuno es escaso, café o jugo de naranja, es la primera vez que voy a un hospedaje y tengo que elegir. El señor encargado de la cabalgata es super amable, muy ameno el recorrido es increíble.

El Hotel Kinkara es realmente espectacular en muchos aspectos. Es un hotel diferente donde la experiencia de dormir en una tienda se vuelve una experiencia inolvidable. La comida es espectacular y la atención de todo el personal es única. Te hacen sentir de maravilla en todo momento. Las instalaciones del hotel son muy bien detalladas en todo sentido y vale la pena hacer la caminata al rio. Por el mal clima no pudimos hacer el tour a caballo pero muy amablemente el personal del hotel nos ofreció una alternativa diferente.

Un lugar muy bonito para ir a desconectar. Ideal para llevarse un libro, meditar, salir a caminar. Mucho contacto con la naturaleza. Las instalaciones y el concepto del lugar muy bien, aunque el menú tiene poca opciones de comida.
