We stayed at this lovely guest house for one night over the weekend and booked into the Bassenthwaite Suite. The room its self is extremely large and even had a day bed and arm chair area. The whole B&B is decorated to a beautiful standard. The room had everything we needed (even a fridge with bottled water, and Sue even got us fresh milk for tea/coffee). The whole place is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, very Good quality and all cooked fresh to order. Ample choice of breakfast options. Sue did offer us a parking permit however we had already parked in the car park that is literally a 2min walk and was very reasonably priced. Everything in town is walkable within a few minutes. An amazing stay and a lovely host. Everything was perfect!

Stayed in Bassenthwaite, a luxuriously comfortable and beautifully decorated room. Quiet environment, blackout curtains and blinds. Sue pays great attention to detail, everything is clean. Very friendly and helpful. Wonderful delicious and healthy breakfast options. Thank you

My wife and me stayed in the Windermere suite, great decor throughout, had a great sleep in the lovely four poster bed. Bathroom well presented. The owner Sue was very attentive and made us feel very welcome on our arrival. Breakfast was very tasty and more than ample to set us up for the day on our onward travel. We would highly recommend a stay at this establishment.

We stayed at this lovely guest house for one night. Room was decorated nicely and had everything we needed (even a fridge with bottled water and the offer of some fresh milk for tea/coffee), and everything was very clean. Breakfast was great. Good quality and all cooked fresh to order. Staff were all very nice (and we loved playing with their two dogs!) Would happily recommend this place, and I can see why they have such good reviews!

Great stay at Brooklands. Sue is very welcoming. The house is very clean and the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. Very handy for the town and its pubs and restaurants. Great way to start our walking holiday in the Lakes.

A nice comfortable and quiet B&B close to the town centre but far enough away from any noise. It's also a 10-minute walk from the station if needed. Stayed for one night after completing a walking holiday and was in the throes of a very heavy cold so the comfortable bed and quiet were a blessing (I was in bed by 8pm!). Decor is perhaps a little old-fashioned (the host told me she enjoyed collecting antique items), but it has a homely lived-in feel.

Fabulous stay! We stayed for one night in the deluxe king room which was stunning and had the most comfortable bed ever! Sue was really friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. The location is also great and parking easy on tne street outside. We ordered a cooked breakfast which was delicious. The whole property has lots of original features which have been tastefully preserved and the hist clearly knows what guests require. Would thoroughly recommend and hope to stay again!

We were meant to be camping and were caught in a massive storm which broke our tent. It being Easter bank holiday weekend, we were worried would find nothing. But the lovely host at Brooklands guest house saved our lives!!! She gave us a great deal, and even offered us bacon sandwiches when we got there (soaking wet…)!! She was lovely and kind, the beds are so comfortable and everything was very clean! Coffee and biscuits in the room, I would definitely recommend to anyone and will hopefully be back myself! Thanks again

Thank you to landlady Sue for an excellent two night stay Room was comfortable and clean with all the amenities needed. Breakfasts were superb Location is excellent - close to town centre but quiet! Sue gave very good recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. Overall pretty much faultless.
