Rimba Villas Gili Air

An exceptional place that provides comfort, privacy and friendlyness. Titi and her staff are very helpful and kind, discreet but very helpful when we had a request. Decorated with taste and attention to detail. Great breakfast

After the hustle and bustle of Sanur, Canguu and Ubud I arrived on Gili Air where the only mode of transport is horse and cart or bicycle. I stayed at Rimba Villas (Surya Villa). The Villa was immaculately clean and nicely decorated. The positioning and functionality of everything was perfect and well thought out. The staff were so welcoming and helpful also. As for the island, it was nice to explore (you could walk around the island in less than an hour). And the people on Gili Air were some of the nicest I have ever met! Everyone smiled and said hello. And as for the coffee, that’s a separate review, but so amazing! Thank you team Rimba for a stay that I really didn’t want to end! I shall come back! 🙏

Gili Air, no cars, only e-scooters for the local people, bicycles and horse taxis. A small, tranquil island with lots of small guesthouses, hotels and restaurants. I have found my little paradise - Rimba Villas!!! Even when I got home, I had the feeling that I could feel at home there. And I did from the very first moment. Such a warm welcome. I was there way too early, no problem. I chatted with Putri (General Manager) for two hours and the time flew by. Then I was able to find my little, private paradise and immediately felt at home. All the employees made me feel at home. From the warm hug in the morning from Titi to the worried question when I hadn't returned late in the evening, it all felt like family. I let them know when I was getting late. After 10 days, I packed my suitcase with a heavy heart to return to Bali. I have 3 more days there and then I'll be going back to Germany. If I return to this region again, I will definitely come back. Home to Rimba Villas.

Such a beautiful place, we really enjoy our time there, everything was perfect! Nothing better than get around the island by bike and then come back to the villa and swim in the pool and just enjoy the quiet of the place. We definitely will come back!

Amazing villa for our two last nights of honey moon with private pool! Decorated with detail and elegance. Staff were very professional and helpful. Close to beach and good restaurants like Allora Italian for dinner and Coffee Roasters for breakfast. Try these two places, you will no regret😋😋

Charming private villa with good service. The villa is clean and quite modern, nice pool in a tropical neat garden. We enjoyed staying here for four nights. The staff is friendly and very helpful to arrange activities. Close to north beaches.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Rimba Villas for 4 nights. It’s just an amazing place. Everything was 10/10. Helpful staff, privacy of you pool area, the state of room/pool area. Will definitely recommend this place.

We spent 4 nights in Surya (the 1-bedroom villa) in July 22 and we had the most incredible stay. The cleanliness of the villa, pool and garden area was exceptional, the cleanest place we stayed throughout our stay in Indonesia. The garden area and villa have been designed very tastefully with the perfectly manicured garden giving serious tropical vibes. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and all in all, we were very sad to be leaving. The location is on the north west side of the island which is furthest from the harbour. It’s about a 20 minute walk to reach the villas, but only a 5 minute walk to the beaches on the west coast which we think are the nicest. It’s also the sunset side with lots of great places to drink, eat, and watch the beautiful sunset. Some of the walkways in the middle of the island can be very dark at night so definitely bring a torch with you, but the walk way to Rimba is perfectly lit with beautiful lighting. We often ate at Mama Pizza or Lumbung and chose to walk back along the beach. If you’re looking to scuba dive then Blue Marlin dive school is a 5 minute walk away. We dived with them on multiple occasions during our stay and would highly recommend them. Thank you to the team at Rimba for an amazing stay, and we will definitely be back to stay with you again in the future.
