Front desk needs to be manned far more than it is. Front desk staff need to be empowered to make service related decisions in real time. We asked for a $4.00 charge to be waived as we needed bottled water when the front desk complimentary water ran out but this opportunity to make a customer happy, was refused. We had a confirmed reservation for a King Size room but were given a Queen bedroom; too tired to ask Receptionist to switch rooms for us so we made do with the Queen beds. Shower curtain a tad short to keep water from flooding the bathroom floor. There was a "fire alarm" (which turned out to be a false alarm) but you could dramatically improve the safety of all guests by installing some kind of public address on each floor to tell guests the nature of the emergency and to vacate rooms, avoid using the elevators and gather in the forecourt until after the fire fighters had given the all clear. Lots of room for improvement at this establishment.
