Aranyam River Retreat

The property was under construction we reached there at 02:00 am, location was not described so we called the hotel guy and delhi office too but they did not respond. We had to wait in the jungle with 65 year old mother and a 3 month old kid. In the car the whole night and in the morning 05:30 the hotel guy picks up the call and sends the location and when we reach the location the guy says the booking is not acceptable as we booked for 27-28. Althought the booking was made at 11:45 pm 27 th april. We had to strangle and kill the time in the car

We came to Rishikesh primarily to enjoy river rafting. Had an amazing experience of rafting on river Ganga that we pre booked with the property. Body surfing was a unique thrilling experience for all of us. As about the property itself, it is an experiential and activotel retreat made for those looking for adventure, wilderness, peace and pure nature. A very non hotel experience so to say hence it may not be the best choice for someone looking for a conventional five star hotel where you just sleep and eat. It can be a lifelong memorable experience and make you want to keep visiting again and again, as in our case, if you stay more outdoors than indoors. A word of caution though the cars need to be parked on the main road and you need to hike down for about ten minutes to reach the property since its across the river. The very helpful staff and porters from the resort gladly helped us with our bags while coming and after checking out. We were made well aware about all these facts as clearly listed out on their www and also mentioned by their very helpful guest relations manager Ms. Rimpy (special thanks to her for assisting in organizing our trip flawlessly). Why we love Aranyam? – for everything. Comfortable clean rooms, awesome food (we took an all meal plan – recommended) and amazing location. Special shoutout to the amazing, kind and friendly team of Aranyam.

We visited this resort in June 2023. It is away from the main Rishikesh city, so it takes a little more time to reach this place. One also has to trek down the hills and cross a bridge over the river to arrive at the destination, but that's the beauty of this resort. Its location, the sweet stream that flows in front, the green trees, gardens, and the beautiful birds around all conjure up to make the experience extremely delightful and serene. The hotel does not have many luxurious facilities, yet we had a very comfortable stay there. The food, the staff, and the Hotel in charge were extremely polite and caring toward our needs. The resort also has a lot of fun activities to engage in for both adults and children like pooling, carrom, table tennis, swings attached to the trees, and indoor as well as outdoor games. One can never feel bored here, even if one wishes to do nothing. It also rained during our stay which just added to the heavenly beauty which we experienced here. We spent most of the time at the resort, it was truly worth it. I have been to the main Rishikesh city many times, but this place was a 'different Rishikesh' which I witnessed. Being religious, we as a family decided to engage ourselves in 'Ganga Pooja' on one of the days, which was very peaceful and calming. Would like to especially mention that a 'Sundar thali' was arranged for us by the hotel staff for the Pujan. Thank you Aranyam, once again for the warm hospitality and soul-stirring experience. p.s. Aranayam is my all-time favorite destination, its amenities, riverside view, Mouth watering food, and hospitality are fantastic. I don't have enough words but the peace you can have in Araynam is not matchable in any other desitination
