Tajaa Pha The Heritage Home

We had double bed room overlooking the lake. Room itself lovely period features with all facilities. Complimentary fruit and water provided. Location was incredible in centre of Patan close to Patan museum and square. Shailendra the host was very helpful and provided good tips and advice. He did check in at 1am after our flight was delayed. Overall really nice guesthouse and perfect for short stay in Kathmandu.

I lived in Tajaa Pha for three months on a study abroad program, and could not recommend this place enough. The location was superb - with tons of dining options walking distance and easy access to Patan Durbar Square (10 mins walk). There is a gorgeous stupa right outside, as well as the lively square of Pimbahal Pokhari. The room was clean and very comfortable, a true home away from home. The view from the roof is gorgeous and provides an outstanding view of the Himalayas on a clear day! Hands down the best part of this place is the staff, especially Shailendra, the owner. He was so attentive to all of our needs and extremely responsive and helpful to us all in such an unfamiliar environment. This place is a must stay and if you do, say hi to Shailendra for me!

Wonderful place to stay for anyone traveling alone. The room is exactly as described and I always had excellent Wi-Fi, warm water and heating, and it was always clean. The place was very comfortable and would highly recommend. The owners were always accessible and treated me like their own family. This made my whole experience in Nepal better.

Best place ever!!! Shailendra is an incredible host! 2.5 month stay and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Rooms and kitchen are clean, staff and family are so kind and welcoming. We shared a special Tihar celebration and had a Momo party with Shailendra and his family. Some of my mother cherished memories!!! Amazing location close to both historical and modern locations, walking distance from major super market, mall, and Patan Durbar square! Many cafes and restaurants nearby to try. So many things to explore in Patan and wonderful people to meet! Rooftop was beautiful and well maintained, gorgeous views of the city and square, and when clear, the Himalayas! Thank you Shailendra for everything!!!

Tajaa Pha is amazing, and Sheilandra is such a knowledgeable and kind host. We made MoMos with him and the other guests. The views are amazing from the top. The breakfast is always delicious. The location is great. The room was nice and had toiletries.
