Nextdoor Patan

I had an excellent stay during the summer of 2024 at Nextdoor. I booked a private room for three months and was upgraded to the penthouse for the last week of my stay free of additional charge due to some booking situation :). The staff are super friendly and helpful and the accommodations are very clean. The private room is huge and is the biggest room I've ever stayed in. Cleaning is once a week. Make sure to clarify the AC situation of the room you book if AC is important to you. Breakfast is tasty and changes everyday -- if a certain breakfast isn't to your liking, the staff are happy to accommodate. The hostel is located in a good place -- it's right off a main street with nice shops and restaurants and it's a short walk from the more touristy locations in Patan. It's also very close to Kathmandu itself. The best perk is getting to meet the other guests during breakfast and at hostel activities, who come from all over the world. The hostel also keeps a calendar of various activities throughout the week, some of which are organized by the hostel. It's a great way to stay busy. I tried a lot of new things for the first time during my stay. Also, there is a friendly hostel cat!

Our stay in next door hostel has been a total pleasure, the place itself is very nice, clean and spacious, with all the facilities. The neighbourhood is quite and safe. We went there on a work trip and we had the perfect conditions to work and also to enjoy ourselves. They have plenty of board games!! We will surely come back!

I always visit and stay at hostel next door whenever I need some "me" time or if I need a sleepover within the valley. The staffs are pretty friendly there and the ambiance is quite soothing. It's an escape as well as home for me. It's a great place to play exciting board games with friends as well as people from different backgrounds, cultures and countries.
