MMirleyThe room I stayed in was located in one of the annex buildings and was very spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed and a generous breakfast included. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming, especially during breakfast service, which made the stay feel very personal.
There is also a well-chosen selection of wines available, which was a lovely extra touch.

UUtente ospiteThe whole experience from start to finish was fantastic!!! The staff were so polite and helpful, the room was wonderful and the meal in the restaurant was amazing. The prison hotel has a feeling of class and luxury and then a beautiful contradiction that it used to be the home of naughty prisoners - we have nothing negative to say just going home with fond memories and some wonderful pictures!!!!

MmarcryuGreat location, easy access to major attractions in Oxford. Love the literary theme of its interior and rooms. Service and concierge staff were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. Our graduate twin room was surprisingly spacious and very pretty. Breakfast selections were plentiful and of good standard. Highly recommended if ever in Oxford.

UUtente ospiteWe were attending a wedding in Oxford and the city centre hotels were very expensive. The reviews for the Black Boy were good so we booked. It was a joy to stay here and we had a fabulous weekend.. Great location - about 10 mins in taxi from centre and bus stop about 5 mins or so walk. Buses went to the city centre and railway station. The room was lovely, as were the welcoming staff. Breakfasts were very good and the pub had a nice atmosphere and an outside garden area. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Oxford.

SSalmanN100 Banbury is one of the better places to stay in Oxford; whether you’re there for work or leisure. It’s approx 300 feet from two bus stations, but if you’re up for it, a 20 minute walk from central Oxford.
Our check-in, luggage storage, and the check-out processed were seamless. The only reason I’d give this 4/5 for amenities is the lack of ironing facility in-room. Would be great if it had a Muslim shower too, but that’s the case with (almost) every place you’re going to stay at in England.

UUtente ospiteThe talkhouse was a really homely accommodation right outside of Oxford. The room was exactly like the pictures. The staff were incredibly helpful and I must say the showers is probably one of the best I’ve had in the uk. (Proper water pressure,temperature and drainage so I’m not swimming in my own filth). Also have a drink or dinner at the pub, it’s seems to be a popular favourite amongst the locals as well. One thing to note for light sleepers, the rooms are side by side so you might hear your neighbours & it is right by the road so you’ll be able to hear vehicles at busier times.

LLucaExcellent location and services, and the room was very clean. However, there’s an ongoing construction nearby and will be there until mid 2026. Beds were really comfortable, but the water pressure was a bit low. Breakfast was great.

WWinnie de witWalking distance to the city centre. Very clean and cosy lodging. Our room was very airy and tastefully decorated. The owner had the fan turned on prior to our arrival which made all the difference in such hot weather. Good value for money!!

UUtente anonimoL'hotel è nel centro di Oxford, a circa dieci minuti a piedi dalla stazione di autobus. Ci sono diversi supermercati vicino alla stazione di autobus, che sono ancora più convenienti.La stanza offre frigo e microonde, e il calore è abbastanza caldo. L'acqua è lenta nel bagno, e quando si lava, la saliva si scorre senza prestare attenzione.
