UUtente ospitePaid another 100rmb upon check in to upgrade to a twin bed room, which was not available on Trip.com at the time of booking.
I liked that the room was rather spacious, and the breakfast had a pretty nice chinese spread. Location of hotel is also very near the railway station.
However, one of the beds was very dirty, with stray hairs and other weird threads on it. Couldn't be bothered to get a change of sheets for just a one-night stay, but this was quite unexpected considering how clean the rest of the room was. There are also no convenience stores near the hotel, but this was mitigated by the fact that you can basically call delivery for whatever, whenever, and the hotel robot would bring it up to your room. Another point - there's no hair conditioner provided and the shampoo provided, whilst smelling good might dry out your hair a bit.
Service at the front desk was no frills, not particularly welcoming but the breakfast staff were nice and kind. Still a pretty decent one night stay in Wenchang.

UUtente ospiteStaff were friendly and welcoming. We used the clean and spacious lobby extensively with visiting guests. We also had a memorable visit at this hotel because we could view the Wenchang satellite space launch from the dining hall balcony located at the 10th floor.

KKeepMovingThe hotel is in a good location, making it very convenient. I usually book rooms with windows but tried a windowless room this time due to the lower price. Ultimately, I still prefer having a window.
During my stay, the air conditioning in the room was not functioning well. However, the ground staff were incredibly fast to respond. They came to my room immediately, adjusted the settings, and offered a room change if it didn't improve in 10 minutes. I was too tired to change rooms. The temperature did get slightly better, though it was still not quite up to my expectations.
On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The excellent, helpful service from the staff is a major plus point for this hotel.

MMartin LewiesWe thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay! The room quality was exceptional, our balcony offered stunning views, and the butler-assisted check-in was seamless. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming, and the serene garden truly elevated the property’s charm.
That said, we were surprised by a few missing amenities we’d expected based on similar experiences: no poolside services, beach lounges, or gym facilities. The immediate area also had limited dining options and activities, which impacted convenience.
Overall, we had a pleasant and relaxing experience. With added amenities like these, the hotel could easily become a 5-star destination! We’d return and appreciate the team’s hospitality.

PPaul. SShort bus ride from Wenchang railway to hotel. Good location, next to river. 7 floors with 1 lift. Laundry has 1 commercial dryer and 1 washer, very efficient. Room n hotel generally clean, tastefully furnished. Our room has balcony facing river. 2 single beds, 2 bedside tables, 2 sofa chairs, 1 desk with chair, 4 pillows, clean and comfortable. Separate bath/toilet, big size, bath & face towels provided, floor towel mat. Std amenities, but paper cups. Disposable room slippers, but no bathroom slippers. Water drainage good. Breakfast little choice, not so good. Better to eat in Lao Ba Cha few doors away. Plenty of parking space. Good location. Nice to do river walk. Night markets about 10 mins walk away. Easy to take buses.

Trip.com non ha visto la risposta, non ha aumentato il prezzo durante il lancio.L'apparecchiatura è piena e se la camera è stata aggiunta a un antiscivolo è più sicuro.

VVlad the TravelerThis place actually had quite a charm and we really liked it and felt it was good value for money. Be warned though, this is through and through an older chinese resort showing signs of decay and might not appeal to everyone. The breakfast was non diverse, but actually good. The reception speaks no English, but they did the check in/out fast. We got a free upgrade to family room which was nice. The room itself was ok, beds were fine, balcony looked over a garden. It had some weird design choices, like the crystal surrounded fan that emits light through out the night or the bath shutters being bolted to prevent opening, but nothing problematic for us. Location is really good, for Qionghai at least. Nested between the main street and the seaside street filled with pretty(and overpriced) bars and restaurants. Pool was actually good, not the cleanest, but it several different depths including 1.7m one which is really rare to see.
The reception and some signs will tell you the beach is dangerous and not swimmable but only danger there are annoying buggies driving back and forth constantly. There are no life guards on the beach so nobody will bother you if you go for a swim and a lot of people indeed do. The waves are strong though so be ready for it. There are fireworks on the beach.
Qionghai itself is not that interesting to warrant another stay, but if we ever go to Qionghai again I would choose this place.

OOtautahianHo scelto questo hotel per il suo vicino a Qishui Bay Beach e il prezzo. I edifici sono tutti moderni, luminosi e puliti. La mia camera era un piacere: spaziosa e con aria condizionata sia nella sala da letto che nella camera da letto. C'è un palestra con pesi e macchinari, e una decente lavanderia, con la colazione fresca e una varietà ragionevole. Quando ho visitato (maggio 2025) c'erano solo pochi ristoranti vicino all'hotel, ma molti ristoranti familiari sono circa a 12-minute passeggiata, verso la città a ovest.
Grazie speciali al personale, Divan, che mi ha parlato in inglese e che mi ha aiutato molto.

Front desk not really helpful. Just want you to go as it was the whole time ”OK, OK...” and ”I'll take you to your room”...
But no help with luggage, nor an answer if the kitchen would have something for me to eat... I sent my list of allergies (gluten, dairy, egg, honey and soy) to the hotel's wechat the evening so that they could give it to the kitchen...
First room:
The fridge was not cold.
Bathroom floor wet and entrance floor dirty 😰
The manager came and was friendly and helpful. He helped me with my luggage to another room 8505, which was larger.
Here the fridge was also not really making cold and switched off when going out. They couldn't give an extra card for electricity.
In the morning the manager showed me the different food at the buffet that I could eat, but I never received the pork etc, he promised the previous evening, for breakfast nor answered my message when I asked if I should wait for it...
For breakfast I could eat the fruit and in a steam basket a piece of corn-on-the-cob, sweet potato, yam and taro. They also had corn flakes.
Interesting they had 3 milk options: cow milk, soy milk and coconut milk...
The second evening I spent an hour on Wechat with reception to find out if the kitchen could prepare something for me with my allergies - I did give it the previous evening.... Then I went for a walk on the beach... When I came back, they hadn't prepared the fish! The manager gave me a coconut with a straw to drink the juice...
So I only wasted my time to find out if they could prepare something - I did give them my list in Chinese of what I cannot eat...😰 Luckily I always have some food with me...
The fish tanks are outside the dining room so you can choose your fish fresh.... As in most places in China 😊
Swimming pool was empty.
Good comfortable beds.
Down duvets.
Nice spacious room with little balcony, but balcony has a concrete wall, not glass to see through...
From the premises you go directly onto the beach!
Very nice quiet environment away from the crowds! After the fireworks at 21:00 the outside lights were switched off and then you only hear the sea...
If you do not have transport, it is a bit far, but if you want to go and rest for a few days, away from crowds, then this is a good place 😎🤠🌻🏝️🏖️
