Hôtel Le Petit Madeleine

The hotel is very well positioned/ walking distance from all main Paris attractions. The bed was very confortable and the room was very clean. The staff is very very nice and helpful and very receptive at guest's requests. The breakfast is excellent (especially the cakes :)) ) and the breakfast area is very cosy. We can't wait to come back. Thank you!

Everything was simply fantastic. All the staff was so friendly og helpfull, everything was so beautyful, clean and taken care of, delicious breakfast, nice location - what is not to like? And of couse no bed bugs. We will definitely come back :-)

This was our first trip to Paris and I had booked this hotel back in June through *******. Somehow, ******* cancelled our reservation a week later which we were not aware. This boutique hotel was amazing. They had one room left and assured us we would have a place to stay. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Staff was amazing and the hotel is very central for walking to all the main attractions. If you're looking for a cozy, romantic, boutique hotel - look no further, this is your spot !

We arrived at the hotel, and the lady who greeted us, was very unfriendly and rude. My friends booked for 2 people and asked if we could request an extra bed because I joined last minute. She said it is the law in Paris to accommodate only 2 people. She said we need another room and there is an available single room. Since I am a gold member of *********, I wanted to check if the price is lower. She said don't book it with them, because they had to pay a commission. As a guest, I should be given a choice of where I want to book my hotel. I checked *********, and the available room showed up. Before I book it, I want to check the price difference. She said it would be more expensive with *********. I told her I would book it with *********. Suddenly the room on ********* disappeared and was no longer available. So I asked her if she removed the room immediately? she said I don't know, but you can book it only here. So I ended up booking their hotel, which is more expensive than booking with *********. I asked for her name from a colleague, and she heard me, so she asked why I needed to know her name. I said giving your name should be part of customer service. She said if I have a problem with her, to tell her, and she is not a receptionist but a manager. So I told her as a manager, she should be welcoming and friendly. First, it is not our first time in Paris, so we know it is not the Paris law to have only two people in one room because, on our last visit, we were 4 in one room, so maybe this is a hotel law and not Paris law. 2nd she was very unfriendly and gave us attitude. 3rd, she blocked the hotel as soon as she learned that I was booking it with ********* She argued with me with a tone when I told her that she was unfriendly. I left her because she was still talking rudely to me. This attitude should not be in the hospitality industry. Disgusting!!!

Worst experience ever. An employee told me I was the cause of all the world's problems because I asked about AC, and went on a tirade of putting me down and how I should be ashamed as my generation is so wasteful. With a room at 29 C it was very hot. They refuse to allow AC until May (which was only a few days away) even though their website does not say this. It lists AC as an amenity. She then told me I should leave but I already paid and would not get a refund (not that any other hotel in the area had a last minute availability). She was extremely rude and condescending. Also, they will ignore the Do Not Disturb sign I put on the door because especially since Covid I do not like to have any room service or any one to enter my room at all. They will come in any way whenever they want and ignore it as they did every day.

This was my first trip to Paris so I had no idea what to expect. We arrived at the hotel jet lagged and WAY early so the hotel manager allowed us to use a changing area/restroom - very nice one at that. She took our bags and gave us a map with some advise on places to go. When we were able to get into our room it was small but very cute and clean. We didn't spend much time there but the room was cleaned every day, the bed was comfortable, and the service was amazing. Jacqueline took very good care of us and we would definitely return!
