+ Nice location and very helpful staff that speak good English. Room was a bit kitsch but fun and confortable. Nice view over Notre Dame and the river Seine. Wifi was working well. - No lift up to the reception area on first floor so luggage must be carried. Unpractical shower. The floor got totally wet. Leaking sink. A bit expensive for the standard.

I booked a double room with a view of Notre Dame - such a unique hotel! I loved the design and the view of the Notre Dame is unparalleled. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Obviously as it is on a main road, it can be quite noisy with sirens and such, but that is to be expected. An absolute gem of a place, I will definitely be staying here again!

To start off, I would like to thank the staff for their great attitude, always smiling, always providing answers to problems, always nice in their way to speak, The room has hands down the best view on Notre Dame in all of Paris, even in the breakfast room, some mirrors are fixed to windows to make sure you can always see the building The hotel is also located in the middle of Paris, which makes most touristic spots accessible by foot, RER B and some souvenir shops & restaurants are also within 5 minutes of walk from the hotel. Now for the less convenient points, reception is on the first floor, which is not ideal if you have heavy luggages, and the building is old : The elevator is small and clanky, The water system makes it so you have to pump water first if you want to flush the toilets, The wall next to our bed looked like some soft plastic was glued to the wall to hide the actual wall, The sheets had a few small yet visible stains (coffee marks?) Bonus points though for the bathroom's door which acts as a mirror from the inside, which enlighted the room Conclusion : If your goal is to visit Paris in a backpacker mood, with great service from a lovely staff, I would recommend this hotel. If your goal is to spend time in your room to relax, I wouldn't.

Second time we have stayed here. Lovely hotel, great location, easy access to the metro, plenty of shops, restaurants etc,

This hotel has a dedicated staff, good breakfast, nice decor, and a phenomenal location with easy access to metro, a million restaurants and pharmacies, and of course major tourist attractions. It seems the hotel is resting upon those laurels. Because the rooms are not modern, the floors are uneven, the bathrooms are ultra cramped (toilet seat is nearly unusable as it’s too close to the shower wall), and the spiral stairwell, while attractive, is dangerous. If you want a retro ancient building experience this is for you. Otherwise lower your expectations.

The front desk staff was incredibly rude and tried to charge me several times for things that had already been paid for, and that I had paid for on the spot. This is totally unacceptable and I didn’t feel welcomed in their facility from the time I arrived to even now well after leaving the hotel. Disgraceful

Great location, but the property is dated and hard to access - lots of stairs to carry suitcases up and down. Our friends room had no toilet paper, hand-held shower only (no attachment to keep in place) and the thermostat wasn't working. Our room had a shower that didn't drain flooding the entire bathroom and running into the sitting area.
