Somnus Suites

Amazing! We went to Somnus suites to celebrate our anniversary, we had such a wonderful time. The staff were all polite and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic, we picked a time for it to be served on our balcony. There was always plenty to eat, a mix of meats, cheeses, breads, fruits and more. Coffee was served with breakfast every morning alongside fresh orange juice. If I had a choice of tea, I would have preferred that however there was tea provided in the room. Staff were very accommodating, our coach transfer was arriving early morning and so we were able to change our breakfast time to be served earlier. The rooms were very clean, cleaned daily. The plunge pool was a treat, we very much enjoyed use of it in the hot weather. The beach was a 5 minute walk down hill which wasn’t too bad, however the walk back uphill was a bit of a challenge in the heat but manageable. I highly recommend using the water taxi from valtos beach to get to Parga town, to avoid walking up a big hill in the heat, it costs €3 for a single or €6 including return.

This was our third visit to Parga and our second stay on Valtos beach. We picked Somnus suites because of their individual plunge pools. We had a third floor room and we had a good view of valtos beach. We loved watching the sunset whilst cooling down in our very own plunge pool. The room, balcony and pool was immaculate. I am very particular about bathrooms but this was the best we've ever had in Greece. The rooms were modern and new and well appointed. Air conditioning was great. Breakfast was delivered everyday to your balcony and set out beautifully for you. It was always a mixture of hot and cold items and more than enough for any appetite. The staff were very accommodating and helpful . We didn't use the shared pool area but other guests did. It didn't ever seem too busy to find somewhere to sit or lounge. Although it looks like there is a short cut to the beach from the front , there isn't so you do have to walk. But it's only 5-10 mins to valtos beach and 10- 15 to the Old Town if you follow the road around towards Panarama. Otherwise,you need to tackle the hill to the fortress, but great if you want to stop at Mikes for a cocktail and to enjoy the views. I would highly recommend Somnus suites if you are thinking of staying on Valtos.

Wow wow wow This hotel is a little gem with fantastic views of Valtos Beach. We arrived to a friendly welcome from Dora on reception who gave us information about the hotel our room and the local area with a warm and welcoming smile. We promptly went to our room and opened the door to find a gorgeously modern interior. The balcony has a plunge pool, table and chairs with the most amazing views of Valtos Beach (room 104) Our travel agent had informed the hotel this was our wedding anniversary celebration, so they up graded the room to sea view and champagne bought to our room. Such a lovely surprise 🥂 The following day we were brought breakfast to our balcony, a simple but delicious and tasty breakfast was laid out for us by the ever attentive Panos. Somnus hotel is a must if you love an individual boutique hotel. Modern fresh and clean with attentive staff. This hotel is nestled into a hill so your ensured a good leg workout everyday. We absolutely love this place and will be looking to return with a cooler climate to explore this wonderful Greek gem

Beautiful suites overlooking Valtos Beach. Very chilled & peaceful. Staff are really helpful, professional & friendly. Lovely breakfast each day. We enjoyed walking into Parga but usually got a taxi home in the evening. Valtos Beach had plenty of sun beds and most were free if you spent €10 each on food or drink. We will definitely return.

First of all the location of the Somnus Suites is perfect, the beach is a short walking distance. This is alongside a road but absolutely no problem at all, at no time did we feel unsafe because of passing traffic. From the beach there is a steep climb to the top of the hill, but I can assure you it is worth it, the view of the bay from many of the wonderful restaurants to choose from is magnificent and each evening we never failed to be blown away by such a beautiful setting. We mainly walked in both directions to the main restaurant/shopping area although, on occasions, we did take the water taxi which was very quick, fun and very reasonable at 3 euros per person. Everything is so convenient from the location of the hotel and, if you so wish, there are boats to hire, organised boat trips if you choose, lots of water sports available, all very convenient and easily accessible. As for the accommodation, this was perfect in every way and every detail. You can really feel that a lot of love and attention has been afforded in making your stay as perfect as possible. The bed is so comfortable, the personal plunge pool on each balcony is a real treat and the breakfast, which was different on each morning of our 7 day stay, was delivered personally and set out with much care for us to enjoy on our private balcony. The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, there are plenty of plug sockets, actually in the best places near a mirror for instance when using hair stylers (!), air-conditioning and, all in all, a very spacious and comfortable room. In addition, the hotel has the facility of a nice relaxing seating area on one level together with a separate area that offers sunbeds around the main pool. Although we did not have a car during our stay, there is convenient parking at the hotel. I very rarely write a review but I think Panos and his team deserve and big thank you for making our holiday so much more than just a place to stay, it is very clear that all staff are working together to make this hotel absolutely first class and they should be very proud of their hard work because it is certainly noticeable in the attention to detail. I cannot rate Somnus Suites highly enough.

Amazing stay in Somnus suites,lovely, modern room in this chic apartment.Great staff whom made us feel very welcome and always happy to help. Wonderful breakfast served on the terrace with lots of variety, fresh fruit, yoghurt, meat and cheese platter, fresh bread and rolls and always a hot selection. We absolutely loved the walk to Parga town and the beach at Valtros is clean with lots of sunbeds. The only downside was that we only booked one week instead of two!
