Very helpful staff. Hotel well placed for town and beach. Spa facilities and treatments of a good standard. Salt water pool an added bonus. Food and drink reasonably priced for quality. Communal spaces modern. Bedrooms were a little tired and would benefit from deep cleans and redecoration. Local area quiet but pleasant. Some interesting shops, cafes and bars. Beach and history of Normandy Landings is the main feature of the town.

Great hotel, we didnt use the spa facilities but they looked amazing. Great breakfast, nice to see a vegan milk option not many places provide this. It was 18/9 and air con had been switched off as I assume they thought the heat of the summer was over, the room was really hot, they did provide us with a fan which helped a bit. We were ground floor so not keen on having a wide open window

We had a very comfortable stay here. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were all very welcoming and efficient. The salt water spa is very good and I participated in an Aquafit class. The bed was very comfortable and robes and slippers were provided. Complimentary glass bottles of water were provided in the fridge in the room.

This review is based on the hotel being a 4* spa hotel. It's more like a 3*. Based on the price and rating, it falls short of what you pay for & what you get. The location is excellent - best in the area and there is no competition, so for that, it's worth it's 4*. It's well staffed and most staff are helpful & attentive. We had lunch on the terrace on a sunny day, and the service then wasn't the best. Different waiters came each time, so they didn't know who had ordered what. Usually in France we notice they always do and that's what sets French service apart from others. Not the case here - the wrong dishes were brought, there was some confusion and the sharing dishes we did order all arrived at different times. It was rather lacking and felt disjointed. We had to ask for drinks twice and that was also confusing. We had breakfast every day. Decent enough - but the layout of the breakfast, especially in the corner where the bread and jams were made it congested there. They have the guest reception/greeting desk in the same corner, rather than right at the door as you enter, so it was rather confusing for those on their first day, wondering where the staff member was. A simple rearrangement would solve this. We had the best room - the suite. Usually, I'd expect some extra items in a suite, like complementary drinks, fruit - I've even had reserved tables at breakfast, reflecting the premium price of a suite (especially in high season). There was nothing. Each day we had to ask for the water to be replenished and there was nothing else in the fridge. There was tea/coffee but no milk. We could have asked for milk from the bar. Remember this is a suite in a 4*... on the ferry over, in their premier cabins, we had better service. It left me wondering where the extra money (and it was a lot) went, other than a bigger room. The room was nice. The toilet was very small, though and getting in and out takes careful planning as the door opens inwards. Astonishingly - there were no USB ports in the room. The 3* budget hotel I use for work has these, as did the basic cabin on the ferry over, but none here. I do have an adapter but did't imagine I'd need it in a hotel of this level, so left it behind. This can easily be solved. Charging phones/cameras became a chore. The view was nice, but the windows are very small and narrow. I had to stoop to see the view, or sot down and stretch up. The spa was OK. The steam room wasn't working for a while and I couldn't find any staff for some time. Someone else reported it, but it never returned to proper service. It had been OK the previous day. They do let children in the spa, which is something I'd change. A spa is supposed to be a place to relax and putting up with other people's children is often not conductive to that. In summary, it's a pleasant hotel, with nice staff and I would stay again if in the area, however, for the price and rating, it does fall short. I wouldn't bother with the suite.

We just returned to the hotel after staying here as a family of four (two adults and two children, 9 and 11) in 2019. The family room is split into two dividing rooms, which provides a great space for families. The rooms are clean and have a mini fridge stocked with complimentary water. Robes and shoes are provided. We all loved the salt water spa, which is welcoming after a day exploring. Staff cannot do enough... We ordered hot chocolate at the bar which was then delivered to us in our room. The breakfast was amazing, absolutely so much choice and self service. We had drinks outside on the glass terrace, which gives you direct access to the beach. I'd definitely recommend the hotel to families. It's a great location for the local amenities and for touring around the local sights.

My new wife and I found this hotel in a last minute thing a few days after we were married. I liked the idea if a pool/spa but honestly, we expected more. The room was rather small for the price but whilst we had a great view, we had a room that was very tired; the carpets are worn down as is some of the internal asthetics. The toilet room is very small and sometimes couldn't close the door, it was like being on a cruise ship! The breakfast was OK, we didn't eat the restaurant as it looked the pretentious type of food, we like grub, not smears on a plate. We didn't know that the pools were salt water so got a surprise whilst swimming. As a younger person, I felt a bit uncomfortable with all the elderly people there but that's not the hotels fault. Some information was missing in the room such as clear fire safety precautions and emergencies. The towels, robes, and bedsheets arnt the best quality for a 4 star hotel and should really be upgraded; the towels are those cheap feeling material. The air con was a godsend though on some of the hot days here. There are plenty of restaurants around in the "High street" area and some D-Day museums and monuments at Sword Beach. Access to buses were easy enough but if you want to visit Bayeux or the other beaches, do plan your trips well in advance as the buses in the rural places are irregular and confusing. Overall, don't see why it's a 4 star, maybe 3 at best. With a few subtle upgrades it could be 4. The staff were good but we didn't engage much. Explore options if you want a larger, non-salted pool and restaurant. I don't recommend this place for children as there just is no place for them or anything relatively child-friendly. If you're 50 and above, go for it.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the hotel in early July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room and facilities were exceptionally clean and the staff were always most helpful. The meals in the restaurant were superb and the bar area, together with outside terrace were perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The location, right on the beach, is ideal for short walks, and some of the WW2 museums are within easy walking distance. The only criticism is that the toilet, separate from the bathroom, is in a very small room which made it difficult to close the door once inside. Otherwise, a great hotel that we would certainly recommend and use again.

Je reviens régulièrement car j'aime la petite structure et tout le personnel est agréable , et bienveillant . Les soins sont biens également , la piscine également surtout que nous venons en semaine et non le week end , donc c'est plus calme; Pour la restauration , je trouve le prix un peu élevé , mais les proportions sont généreuses. Par contre la chambre , et de façon générale les chambres auraient besoin d'un rafraichissement , à part le matelas qui était top , la moquette , les meubles et la salle de bain sont à refaire . Une odeur de pied dans la chambre et des taches dans les wc . J espère que bientôt des belles chambres m'accueilleront , car j'aime bien ce centre.
