Hotel in zona Laurentian Pl, Ottawa

Sono rimasto nella cella più economica, dove il letto è appena adatti tra le pareti.. La materna era molto comoda. Il posto migliore per immagazzinare il bagaglio è sotto il letto. Se hai un sacco di bagagli, spingere di sotto il letto può rendere difficile recuperare. Puoi legato una corda al sacchetto, così puoi tirarla fuori. Quando la gente è intorno, c'è un sacco di rumore nelle celle. Il mio trucco per sentire questo è usare un telefono con piccole orecchie comode e un'app che fa rumore tranquillo, come una tempesta di pioggia. (Molti telefoni più recenti non hanno un socket per orecchini. Io porto un vecchio telefono per questo; non serve servizio cellulare, anche se avrete bisogno di Wi-Fi per scaricare/aggiornare un app per dormire. Non ho provato iPhone; uso Android, che può essere molto più economico. ) I'dbbe'dbbe cauta su orecchini senza fili qui ... Se usciranno dalle orecchie mentre dormite, potrebbero cadere dalle lati del letto. (Non è facile arrivare sotto il letto vicino alla testa!) Le orecchie a filo sono economiche per acquistare, soprattutto su un sito come Amazon con molte scelte (e recensioni per aiutare a scegliere). Forse è stato la dimensione di questo grande ostello, e le sale vuote, che lo rendeva meno accogliente. Mi piacciono gli ostello pieno di vita, quindi non sono sicuro di tornare.

Hotel di buo livello con personale di ricezione molto gentile e disponibile. Se siete in auto è una ottima soluzione per visitare Ottawa.

Location was good for my purpose. Location is always subjective your needs. Breakfast above average for an included breakfast. Coffee tea and hot chocolate was available 24/7 in the reception area. Fast check-in and checkout. Staff was friendly and helpful.

La stanza è pulita e pulita, il letto è molto comodo, il bagno è molto grande, il frigorifero a microonde è completo, l'esperienza è buona, la colazione è generalmente poca, non è deliziosa, il servizio di deposito bagagli è soddisfatto.

There are 2 things this hotel has going for it...the Koena Spa and Kota restaurant. Other than that, the property is tired and dated, and the staff is sp**** and unable to solve the simplest issues. I booked a weekend getaway for myself and 2 friend. We booked a suite with 2 queen beds for our stay and made reservations with Koena spa. This was a Saturday overnight stay. The room was satisfactory for our purposes however the hallways were dingy and the room doors all the way down the hallways were damaged and peeling. One of the elevators was not aligning on the floors so you had to be careful not to trip when stepping in or out. Also, the front desk staff was not super welcoming or engaging. I have stayed at several other Doubletree properties and there is usually a warm welcome (including warm cookies) and that was not the case at all at this location. The room itself was clean but dated circa early 2000s. I stayed at this hotel a decade ago when it was an independent property and the decor/furniture has not changed a bit. When we arrived back from dinner, neither tv worked in the suite. One didn't even have power. We tried to contact the front desk from the room phone several times with no answer. Finally, I went down to the desk and the desk agent had no idea what to do to help as she indicated the maintenance staff was gone for the day. She offered batteries for the remote, which was not the issue. She noted the room number and indicated someone would look at it the next day...we were only staying one night. The location is excellent due to the adjacent Koena Spa. A quick trip down the elevator and you are right there at the spa entrance. A relaxing experience spending the whole day in the hot-cold cycles. In the lobby, the Japanese fusion restaurant, Kota, is another bonus. Great food and service. The bartender was very engaging and fun and the wait staff was excellent. Delicious menu and a beautiful terrace overlooking the spa deck and sunset. Overall, the spa and restaurant balanced out the tired hotel and subpar service. If you can book a promo for $150 or less it's fine. Otherwise, I would look at an Ottawa hotel.

reservation for 3 nights, had to change room 3 times; AC did not work in 1st room, was offered a fan (which would just move the hot air around) not really a solution when its 31 degrees outside; had to insist to get room with working AC; was assigned another room for the rest of my stay; to my surprise the next morning was told I had to move again because the room had been rented last night for the next 2 days to someone else; had to get my things out before heading out for the day. Noticed a big chain wrapped around the handles of the front door, only access is through the back door. Thought I would give this place a chance, since I travel through Ottawa/Gatineau every few months; low price is not sufficient to entice me to go back. Good: room and bedding clean / mattress confortable / good water pressure and hot water Bad: Reception staff is confused and disorganized, the woman manning the desk on the 2nd day was curt, very unpleasant to deal with / very minimum breakfast option (i.e. only one type of tea offered, if you don't like Earl Grey, you are out of luck)

Il servizio è buono, la stanza è anche molto comoda, le condizioni sanitarie sono buone.

A me piaceva molto tutto questo hotel, ma anche se era un po' fuori dal centro, la stazione ferroviaria era a pochi passi e Uber al centro era sub-$15. La squadra di front desk era grande e la mia suite migliorata era enorme con una bella cucina. Il parcheggio sotterraneo era gratuito e conveniente. La colazione era buona, anche se un po' troppo costosa, e il nuovo stile di Courtyard “Bistro” non era il mio preferito, anche se a nessuna colpa di questo hotel particolare. La rinovazione è iniziata sui piani superiori e devo dire che è assolutamente superflua per uno, in realtà è l'unico motivo per cui non ho dato 5 stelle - lo stato attuale delle camere è stato solo inaccettabile nel 2022. Una volta completati i renos, questo hotel tickerà tutte le caselle per una 10/10 scheda di commento.
