We got robbed at Ibis Budget in Verdun :( We arrived at Ibis Budget after 10pm on July 12, after having tried another hotel of the same hotel chain in the area. We booked and paid Ibis Budget from our phones at arrival, still in the hotel parking lot. And then - when we inserted our reservation code into the machine in front of the hotel, the machine told us that our code was not valid. There was no one at the hotel. There was no way to get in, although we had paid the hotel and gotten our reservation code in the internet just then and there. When trying to call and at the end email the person responsible for the hotel, the worst is that we received a practically insulting email back implying that we were just trying to lie to them to get our money back for no reason, that they considered us a "no-show" to the hotel. They denied that there had been any problem with their IT systems, although their machine had given us an error message saying our booked and paid reservation code was not valid. We are in shock for the horrible experience. We paid but were not able to enter to the hotel. And to boot, we received an insulting response from the person responsible for the hotel. We are escalating the issue and still trying to get our money back at Accor Hotels, to which Ibis Budget belongs.
