Doda Artisanal Cave Hotel - Adults Only -

Breakfast is very nice Rooms are very clean Only thing is toilet and bathroom is not separated in the room, since the rooms are stone when you take a bath room gets a bit humid

We booked this hotel for our 7th wedding anniversary and let me say: IT WAS THE BEST DECISION! We stayed in room 104 which has its own pool in the room… ah, how romantic it was! Mr. Atakan, Ms. Yagmur and everyone else who worked there was such a delight. They made our stay even more special with their smiling faces and helpfulness about what’s around the hotel..etc. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for everything! ❤️

The hotel was not built on the cave, its “cave looking” hotel. The atmosphere was rustic and charming, the view from the terrace was beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the internet was fast. The breakfast was amazing, freshly made for us each day and their cats were super cute! In terms of our room: the bed was big and comfy; the room was warm with a good heating system. It was charmingly designed with a cave-hole-sofa area and a shower area that looked like they had been carved out of the wall. But it wasn’t always practical - for instance it is an open-plan design so the toilet is part of the main living area with no door to separate it. One of us had to go out the room when we needed a toilet. Luckily there was a communal toilet in the communal area but it was cold! Downsides: 1. The village of Ortahisar is quite remote and a little limited for restaurants 2. Like many buildings in the area the hotel have a fire and chimney. Although the chimney was high and in the courtyard area, some of the smoke smelled toxic and we didn’t feel comfortable. 3. The drain in the shower seemed to be blocked and took ages to empty, the shower water wasn’t always super hot, one of the shower fixings was broken. It was a lovely hotel but the open plan bathroom made my stay difficult.

My husband and I stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon and had an absolutely incredible time. The staff was truly exceptional, and Ata made sure to make our trip as romantic and individualized as possible. He scheduled everything from airport drop-offs to a private wine tasting to restaurant recommendations. The premises are impeccably maintained. We had so much fun in our private pool. We loved the little town that the hotel was in. And the breakfast is truly phenomenal - does not disappoint. All in all, we highly recommend!
