Orillia: hotel con bar

Anche se ho vissuto in Canada tutta la mia vita, non ho mai provato a pescare il ghiaccio.Grazie ai buoni amici, abbiamo viaggiato a Orillia e abbiamo avuto un bel giorno in una cabina di pesci sorprendentemente calda e confortevole. Poi siamo andati a Orillia Quality Inn e speravamo che ci fosse un ristorante vicino. Eravamo molto eccitati quando ci siamo tirati su per vedere un ristorante e un arcade con auto da bowling e bumper!!! Orillia Quality Inn ha creato la serata perfetta per tutti noi (cioè 3 famiglie con bambini da 6-18yrs). Mangiamo (i panini di torta del funnel sono un tentativo da provare); giocato piscina e videogiochi; ma, di gran lunga, le auto a bumper erano l'accento della serata! Di solito le auto a bumper sono carini carini perché si bloccano tutti e è troppo difficile guidare. Le auto possono muoversi, le auto a bumper sono grandi, e il tempo era lungo. Così divertente!!! Anche se le strade erano fredde, le camere, l'acqua e la piscina erano calde e confortevoli, e in realtà si sentiva bene a sapere che le camere e le porte erano ben isolate, soprattutto per pensare all'ambiente. Il personale era così amichevole, difficile e utile. Anche i miei figli hanno notato quanto il personale lavorava duramente e i diversi ruoli che hanno svolto! Grazie Orillia Quality Inn! È stato davvero un soggiorno di Quality!

Paid $320/night for a room that should have been $135. - Broken furniture - musty old funky smell - rooms are desperate for updating - bed sagged - very noisy AC - loud rattling pipes in the walls when neighbors showered - unwashed dishes in cupboards - mold, earwigs, and spiders in the bathroom - bathroom counter 8” lower than modern standard - carpet made us want to keep our shoes on - front desk staff, while friendly, had no interest in hearing our complaints - no room cleaning service during our stay (COVID is long since done, people). - Feel ripped off and won't ever stay at this hotel again (and maybe no other Best Western Plus now)

Very Very small room, never seen a room as small as this one. Nonetheless nicely appointed. Linens were very nice, bed super comfortable. Bathroom recently renovated, modern and clean. Hotel staff very friendly. Overpriced for the size of the room. Continental breakfast was minimal at best. Prepackaged muffins, croissants, fruit cups! Coffee was decent but we basically had to go out to breakfast anyway. The limited parking is a HUGE issue. We checked in around 3:30 and had a spot in the tiny lot, went out to dinner and to a show at Rama. We arrived back at the hotel after midnight in a blinding blizzard only to have nowhere to park. They directed us to an offsite lot, two blocks away-not a big deal unless it is late at night and a blizzard out. And what about guests with limited mobility? The next morning we had to schlep our bags to the offsite parking, around 8 inches of snow had fallen. While cleaning off my car I discovered a $50 parking ticket, so I had to make my way back to the hotel again to present it to them. They said they would take care of it, but I have kept a photo of it just in case as it will go on my license if it's not paid. Upon attempting to exit the unplowed parking lot, the city went by on the street with the plow and a huge windrow blocked me from exiting. As I sat in my car contemplating who to call about my dilemma, a kind Orillia citizen pulled over, asked me if I was blocked in and proceeded to get a shovel out of his trunk and dig me a path out of the parking lot. He was certainly the bright spot to my morning! Would I stay at this hotel again? No, the room was way way too small for my liking, breakfast was a joke and the parking issue was inconvenient.
