Kamerlingh Villa

I was in Kamerlingh Villas for one week and loved the place so much, I did not want to go. I always felt welcome an hosted perfectly, special thanks to Lita. For a single traveller who wants a quiet and pieceful place, maybe work on a laptop in the shadow overlooking the nice pool, it ist just perfect. Note: there is no hot water in the shower but as it is warm all day, who needs this? Also, a common barbeque place would be nice. The kitchen is perfect but inside. I will come back when I visit Aruba again!

The villa is a must stay location for many reasons. The owners are lovely and more than accommoding to your every need. We had bad experience with another owner canceling our reservation for one month, the night before our arrival to Aruba. Jose and Lita worked hard to find accommodations for us. We stayed in 4 of their spaces, apartments and a room with a private bath. All were well appointed and immaculately clean. With a variety of room styles there are differing price points. There are cleaning and maintenance staff visible every week day and Jose and Lita are (the owners) live on the property so they are on hand as well if anything is needed. The pool and surrounding area is clean and quiet. Our stay was very relaxing. This is not party central, if this is what you are looking for. We are hoping to return in 2025. For the value of this place it’s worth it at all your better off spending your money on a decent hotel then here. You spend more money paying for a taxi. I was fooled by the reviews and the photos and spent a night with my boyfriend at the villa. Entering the place was a little sketchy and I wasn’t sure if it was the even right place. I asked the host if he could call up a taxi for my boyfriend and I and told us to walk and it’ll be down the block. For starters the villa is an easy 30 minute walk from the rest of the island. When I first walked in everything seemed normal until I went into the bedroom. There was only two flat pillows and the bed felt like cardboard and it looked kinda stained. The host also mentioned that if you leave at any time to go out to turn off the AC which I found a little weird. Also the ceiling walls were a little broken as well. The house itself was extremely hot and was uncomfortable staying at. Also there are no TVs and the wifi is super spotty and slow. The worst thing about this place is that there is no private bathroom and you’re sharing it with the other guest. I was completely appalled by this. The bathroom is disgusting and super hot and it smelt terrible.

Scam - Prices shown online are half the actual price. They are using fake ads. Waste of time. They appear on most online list, *******, Booking etc., with a low price. You can try to book online, but it tells you to contact them at the very end. I called Jose and he had me text him. Waited patiently just to find out that the price is double. Don't waste your time.
