Ayllu B&B Ollantaytambo

Owners were wonderful. Very helpful. Room clean and simple. No luxuries. A 15 minute walk to the square. Way less noise here than staying closer to the center.

My stay at Allyu B&B was absolutely wonderful. As a woman traveling solo, I deeply value accommodations that feel both safe and welcoming—and this place delivered on every level. Deyanira and Antonio were exceptional hosts who truly went above and beyond. Despite my flight into Cusco being heavily delayed, Antonio made sure everything with my late-night arrival went smoothly. He coordinated my transportation from the airport and greeted me with warmth and kindness, even at a late hour. I spent months researching places to stay for this part of my journey, and I can confidently say Allyu B&B was the perfect choice for my stopover on the way to Machu Picchu. A sweet extra touch: since I was leaving early each morning, the hosts thoughtfully packed me a lunch each day—which was so appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here. My wife and I really enjoyed staying here for the two nights we were in Ollantaytambo. Antonio and his wife are wonderful people. They explained the valley and city and had a great recommendation where to watch the sunset. They arranged transportation for us. Breakfasts were great. If we visit Ollantaytambo again, we will definitely try to stay at Ayllu BnB.

Good B&B It was great! They had breakfast every morning which was always good. It was a little removed from central Ollantaytambo, about an 8 min walk, but that was no problem for me. Very comfortable with plenty of space.

Our stay at Ayllu B&B was absolutely perfect. Out of all the places I’ve ever stayed in (50+ countries), Antonio and Deyanira truly had the best service I have ever experienced. From offering car service to ordering food delivery for us to prompt custom-made breakfasts to a spotless room, they went above and beyond every minute we were there. Bed was very comfortable, views unbelievable, location very quiet with a pleasant walk down to the square, breakfast delicious and they had everything you might need (water, fridge, beer, tours, local menus, tuk-tuk service to town, etc). In addition, my husband and I brought our 5mo old baby so the extra care that went into making sure we always had hot water for cleaning bottles, setting up a pack n’ play and offering to hold our little stinker so we could eat a hot breakfast was overwhelmingly appreciated. Couldn’t recommend more - thank you, thank you Antonio and Deyanira for making our visit unforgettable :)

Antonio and Nicol are outstanding hosts!They reached out numerous times to offer transportation from Cusco, home cooked breakfast, and a brief walking tour of Ollantaytambo. The sites and restaurants they recommended were spot on. We enjoyed spending part of the morning with them and hearing their stories about the area. Our group was comprised of 10 adults; a couple, some siblings, singles, and a mother daughter duo. The room and bed count was more than adequate; only the couple shared a bed, and every room but one had a private bathroom with shower. Instant hot water systems for each shower meant no one was stuck with a cold shower, but water pressure varied significantly depending on how many showers were in use, toilets flushing, etc. Just take turns and it’s fine. The floors are tile and there’s little insulation, so sound carries. Conversations in the hall, someone climbing the staircase, roosters crowing before dawn, and vehicles on the road are noises best blocked by earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Those are not complaints; just things to be aware of. We enjoyed our stay at Ayllu B&B very much! The location is excellent! It’s a 10 or 15 minute walk from the central plaza of Ollantaytambo and every room has a view of mountains. I asked Antonio what Ayllu means. He said, “it means family.” We truly felt welcomed like long lost family during our short stay there. I only wish it could have been longer!
