Hotel de Leijhof Oisterwijk

This is the worst service I have ever witnessed. The hotel was booked for only 2 nights also confirmed by the front office both in email and telephone conversation. However the Hotel choose to take payment for 3 nights and regret to pay back the money even though it’s there own mistake. I was truely insulted by the hotel manager, who obviously do not have any understanding of service in general. Never go there - they charge you more than they should. Big shame to this hotel!!!

This has been a tough summer for Europe, still no excuse for having to suffer a room with no aprópiate ventilation or air conditioning, no fans on offer and all the bed linen was the same you would get in winter... Room was very nice and well set, toilet is far too small and the setting is quite typical of a small ‘boutique’ hotel. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. But for me the lack of common sense in being well prepared for summer made my stay totally unsatisfactory...

We had a nice welcome from the reception manager who gave us a quick tour to restaurant and bar and arranged for our dinner table. The hotel is located in the midst of a garden in a nice residential area and at walkable distance from lovely downtown. Lobby, restaurant, the bar (regrettably only open for private events) and the corridors are absolutely stylish... Our deluxe room no. 210 was neat and ok for one night but a bit sober compared to the communal areas. An artificial orchid, a "view" onto the black wall of an adjacent building, a small bathroom which looked nice but regrettably lacked a functional concept: small hand basin, no room for my own toiletries, inadequate lighting for applying makeup, no magnifying mirror and an open rain shower cabin that caused a "deluge"... This plus hard towels, no tissues and a very simple hair dryer actually added up to a loss of two points. By contrast, dinner at the George restaurant was EXCELLENT. The staff was friendly and attentive, food presentation was flawless and all courses were delicious. The breakfast buffet was nice and varied with dishes made to order and coffee served on the table. The positive food experience raised my rating back to four points. Despite my critical assessment of room 210 I consider the Leijhof a very pleasant hotel. But for a longer stay I would definitely book one of their suites which assumedly match the elegant style of the house...

Very nice hotel and restaurant. I liked the warm and friendly welcome, the individual treatment. Dinner at the restaurant is an experience, the dishes a feast for the eye, cocktails and wines upon the good advice of the staff are great. And I liked the breakfast, a lot of small dishes to choose from, nicely presented and delicious. Although we live close buy, the weekend at Hotel de Leijhof Oisterwijk felt like holiday. There is one thing I would change as it does not fit the classy style: plastic flowers, bouquets and plants all over the place - replace by real ones for enhancing the athmosphere even more.

HIghly recommended boutique hotel with very friendly staff and excellent service. The suites are very well equipped and comfortable and breakfast and dinner in the restaurant was delicious. We hired bikes for a few days to enjoy the great cycling in the area. The standout for us was the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff we met there.

Your perfect getaway in Oisterwijk. Lovely hotel with original design and very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Pleasantly surprised by the upgrade at arrival. Definitely will stay here again when visiting the area.
