We just love this resort. April 2025 was our 10th visit. Everything about it is perfect to us. #1 is the staff. Clean and well maintained property. I challenge you to find a resort of this size that offers the level of service and quality that you experience here. BRAVO to every employee bottom to top, top to bottom.

Beautiful resort. The entertainment was great. Brandon the MC was entertaining and the piano sing along was so much fun. The piano player Orion was amazing. We had a great anniversary. We definitely plan to come back. Our butlers Andre and Dewaney took amazing care of us throughout our stay.

Simply the absolute BEST of any Caribbean resort we have been to!!! This was our second time at this resort- and our butlers Adrian and Ricky were OUTSTANDING!!!! We own a catering company and first class service is SO much appreciated- and they exceeded our expectations!!! Love them!!!! And the GM, Omar, was incredible and so helpful, as I had broken my foot prior to our arrival- and he made sure I still had a great time!!! Del, Garnet, Romaine and “Tyson” (our bartender see and this is what we nicknamed him) all went above and beyond. We love this resort SO much- you truly cannot go wrong!!! Adrian- Whoop Whoop!!!! ❤️

The Royal Plantation is a relatively small 74 suite property which oozes character and charm. The staff are fabulous and friendly and always there to great you by name and with a smile. We had a room in the West Wing. Very generously sized with a walk-in wardrobe area adjacent to the bathroom. Only minor let down was no balcony/terrasse. The room was spotless and fabulously maintained during our stay by housekeeper Narisha. Thank you. The resort has three restaurants on site, each preparing fresh food to order - unlike the neighbouring Sandals resort (Ochi). The quality of the dishes was fabulous and there was always something new or different to try. There are two small private beaches which are immaculately maintained by the beach staff. Sun loungers with shade are available, but in limited numbers. We were somewhat taken aback by the antics of some guests who insisted on reserving loungers not only for themselves, but others too, in the very early hours. Not fair to other guests. A beach lounger policy and etiquette needs to be enforced. The same applies to loungers by the pool. This is an "all butler" resort. Our thanks to Duwaynie and Richard for looking after us during our stay and for their helpful suggestions and advice. Nothing was too much. The fabulous character and quality of this resort is also attributable to its super friendly and welcoming staff. There are too many names to mention - but thank you to all for making our stay so memorable. Finally, we have to mention general manager Omar Robinson. He knew each and every guest by name and was always on hand to ask how things were going and whether guest needs and expectations were being met. We would definitely return if visiting Jamaica in the future. A fabulous small resort with wonderful staff and character.

Just back from a wonderful week long stay at Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios and we couldn’t fault anything. From the beginning to the end we were made to feel so welcome & we didn’t want to come home! Omar the GM goes above and beyond - even knowing every guest by name & leads a very happy team by great example. Our butlers were wonderful too - both Andre & Johvan made our experience so special and we loved every second. Thank you SRP - we will be back!

Our first stay at Royal Plantation although we have stayed at several other Sandals resorts we eve got our free week certificate while we were here! this is a small resort by Sandals standards, but we found it right for us, not the party atmosphere of some others but a great place to relax. There are only 3 restaurants on site but Ochi is next door and has loads more. We also visited Dunns River which has an excellent Asian fusion restaurant but you need to arrange the shuttle with the butlers. The Manager Omar is brilliant, he knows everyone's name (wouldn't tell how he remembers!) he would be an asset to any hospitality business! Room was clean and comfortable (Viceroy) but had no balcony although we did not find this a problem. Minor gripe butlers do not reserve sunbeds at this resort, we were unable to get one on the west beach during our stay but no problem on the less crowded east beach or by the pool. i was surprised how many people stay very long term at the resort, but that probably reflects the satisfaction level. My wife wants to book again!

An absolutely wonderful stay at this small hotel. The service was outstanding, especially our butlers Keanio and Delgardo, and the brilliant general manager Omar, who really does know your name as you walk in the door. The butlers will bring you lunches to the beach, and will arrange anything you need for your room. I was wondering how we would feel about not having a balcony, but the rooms are lovely and spacious, and when we opened the sliding doors, letting the Caribbean in, we did not miss one. Great facilities in the room, a stocked fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and ice and snack supplied every day by the butlers. Room service was included, and very efficient. The room was kept spotlessly clean, and it was always a pleasure to see the smiling Marlyn from housekeeping. As a Brit, I find tipping stressful. However, only the butlers are allowed to take tips, which we gave them at the end of our holiday, so this made things much easier than other resorts we have been to. The entertainment is low key, but you have the option of going to the neighbouring hotels, Ochi and Dunn's River, where there is more on, and the transport is frequent. The butlers will also book restaurants at these hotels, so you don't need to eat the same place twice, although the three restaurants at the Royal Plantation at excellent, so you may be happy just to eat there. My other concern was that as I'd read there were so many returning guests, we would feel less well cared for than the regulars. We never felt like this at all. Omar and his team treat everyone to equally high standards of service, young or old, regulars or first timers. Our overall feeling was that this hotel offered exceptional value for money. Book early, as I think the new management will make it even more popular than it was previously.

This was a special holiday to celebrate our retirement and we had spent time researching where to go, and importantly where to stay. We didn’t want a ‘party hotel’ with the associated noise and nuisance. We chose Sandals Royal Plantation as ideal for us based on reviews and opinions of work colleagues who had visited. The hotel is small, intimate and friendly. It is ideal for couples who just want to chill out and enjoy some peace and quiet. The attention from all the staff is without exception, outstanding. We were made to feel valued and welcome at all times; nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The quality of food is high in all the restaurants and having dinner in your room is a special experience not to be missed. Service on the beach and in dining is outstanding. We will definitely be returning - thank you to all the staff for making our holiday perfect.
