Hotel in zona Modell Gasometer, Oberhausen

Wij hadden een familiekamer met een stapelbed achter een muurtje, net iets ruimer dan de normale familiekamers. Klein, maar prima voor deze prijs. Het was schoon, maar missen een stopcontact in de ruimte van het stapelbed (voor nachtlampje), geen kluisje in de kamer en geen waterkoker of bekers/glazen. Er was wel een fohn. Daarnaast waren er geen aparte lichten bij de nachtkastjes die je kon dimmen. De ruimte was ook te klein zodat de rest toch ”last” heeft van het licht van degene die nog wakker was. Ook waren de ramen niet verduisterend genoeg. Omdat je op de begane grond zat kon er makkelijk een sigarettenlucht binnen komen in de ochtend (mensen stonden voor de deur te paffen). We deden dan ook geen ramen open, maar het was ook warm, dus we gebruikten de airco, die was goed. De afzuiging in de badkamer was luid, stopt gelukkig na 10 minuten het licht uit. Housekeeping vergat na het verschonen een keer de zeep aan te vullen. De receptie is na 22.00u niet meer te bereiken. Kamer is niet geluidsdicht, zo hoorden we 2 avonden het piepen van de wasmachine die klaar was (blijkbaar zaten we naast een washok) welke het personeel niet hoort bij de receptie, de wekker van de buren en drukke bovenburen. Gelukkig hoorden we nauwelijks geluiden van de straat. Er zijn niet genoeg haakjes in de badkamer voor een gezin van 4, achter de voordeur van de kamer zit wel een kapstok, die hebben we dan maar gebruikt, want we hadden geen jassen bij ons. De vloer van de badkamer wordt snel nat, want de douchedeur kan niet goed dicht. Het slapen zelf was OK, krappe, maar stevige bedden/matrassen, te slappe hoofdkussens. We hebben 1 ochtend het ontbijtbuffet gereserveerd, dat was simpel maar prima voor de prijs, broodjes, toast, vlees, kaas, zoet beleg, cakejes, fruit en cereal met havermelk. Koffie/thee en sapjes uit de machine te halen en gekookte eieren. Maar je moet kleine mensen helpen, i.v.m. weinig ruimte ligt het brood boven je hoofd in mandjes, je moet even zoeken, de eieren lagen in een mandje onder het buffet. Wij waren vroeg, maar na 9 uur wordt het druk qua zitplekken. Locatie is top, je kan parkeren bij het hotel, het hotel zit tegenover Westfield CentrO. Als je er niet naar toe wil lopen heb je genoeg keuze qua restaurants (aziatisch, pizza, burgers en steak) rondom het hotel (achter het hotel is een soort industrieterrein, met een bouwmarkt etc.) en er zit een Lidl vlakbij en 2 Shell stations met KFC. De meneer achter de receptie was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam betreffende informatie vragen.

Questo edificio è costruito con pochi appartamenti e senza ricezione, quindi questo non è un hotel (il nome su Google Maps può essere fuorviante). Abbiamo affittato un appartamento 3-bedroom per 2 notti - cucina spaziosa, moderna, ben attrezzata con apparecchiature per la casa (non c'era niente che mancava). Un bagno principale e un secondo bagno. Parcheggio ampio al retro dell'edificio. Pochi minuti - siamo arrivati tardi di notte e l'intero appartamento era freddo perché il riscaldamento era sbloccato (bene tutti abbiamo imballato pigiama lungo maniche), confermo le opinioni che le matite sono morbide, quindi non necessariamente buone per tutti. Per un appartamento così grande e il numero di ospiti che può ospitare, ho perso un divano più grande / più posti in soggiorno, nella zona di soggiorno vicino al tavolo del caffè.

Non saputo molto conveniente. Quando la stazione della metropolitana esce, arriva attraverso la strada opposta.La colazione è molto ricca, tutte le bevande di salsa e così via.Molte scelte.La progettazione della stanza è anche molto bella.Sceglierai l'hotel di nuovo.

Abbiamo dovuto prenotare 2 camere per la nostra famiglia di 5 quando prenotavo online, ma quando ho controllato, mi è stato detto che avevamo camere familiari che avrebbero ospitato i 5 di noi (bambino dormire nel nostro letto). Ma non mi permetterebbero di annullare la seconda stanza, quindi abbiamo pagato doppiamente. Non hanno nemmeno camere interconnesse, quindi ci sono state poste 16 camere separate. Le camere erano pulite e le bagni erano spaziose. Abbiamo soggiornato per una notte durante l'onda di calore di 40 gradi, quindi apprezzavamo davvero l'AC nelle stanze e andavamo alla piccola piscina interna per raffreddare.

The hotel is just a few minutes from the Philharmonie U-Bahn station or just a 15 minute walk from the main station and hence very nicely located. The staff are very professional and gave me a good welcome. The room was very well-kept and for the price, a good size. Excellent WiFi coverage at good connectivity speeds. Overall, a very nice stay in a very nice hotel.

Ich bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

Had a great stay in Moxy Essen from 11/06/2023 – 14/06/2023. I was travelling around the Rhine Ruhr region with my friend (and we both have Marriott Gold elite status from staying in a Marriott for university). This hotel was in a great location right next to the HBF station in Essen and was clean and modern. The bar had a good vibe and we had free drinks on arrival. We used points for this stay, and the way that the points worked out meant that we had 2 different bookings over 3 nights, but this was not an issue and we managed to get the same room for the duration of our stay (we even got a bonus welcome drink for it)! I’m probably not going to do the hotel justice here, but it was a well laid out and stylish hotel with decent sized rooms. We had a twin room to share and the staff made extra effort so that we were on the quieter side of the building. We initially checked into the hotel at approximately 2pm, but decided to spend the afternoon in Wuppertal. When we arrived back on the first night. I had a shower, and there was no shampoo. No big deal, but I ended up going down to reception to ask for some. The man couldn’t find any shampoo, but about half an hour later, some appeared, I think he probably brought I from the shop as it wasn’t in the normal bright pink Moxy bottle, but it was really nice of him to make the effort. That day, the weather hit 32 degrees and whilst we were waiting for the shampoo, we tried to work out how the air conditioning worked. Between me and my friend that I was travelling with, we couldn’t work it out, so we asked the employee. However, between the 3 of us and Google we could not work it out. Anyway, I think we were the only people in the hotel that night as this was approximately midnight local time, and I think we went in every room in the corridor. To try and find one with working air con. All of them were empty! We eventually found one that wasn’t like a sauna and packed our stuff and moved. The employee was genuinely the nicest and most helpful employee I think I have ever seen in a hotel, very apologetic, but also very sociable. It was really nice to meet him as he was so happy to help. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he had a ponytail I think and said he was Turkish. I think he will know who we are when he reads this! I saw him off duty in the bar the next night and thanked him. We even got 2 free breakfasts out of this!! The breakfast was good, though probably not worth the price we were told when we booked (I think it was about 15 euros but can’t remember as I have stayed in about 5 hotels in the past week and they have all rolled into one a bit). There was a few cooked items (Bacon & Scrambled Egg) and a few cold/ cereal items, but not loads. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast as all the Moxys allow a free coffee/ juice in the morning and a pastry, which is a nice touch. Eine neue, gute Adresse. Die Gegebenheiten sind von solider, gehobener Qualität, der Stil des Hotels entspricht heutigem Standard. Bemerkenswert gut funktionieren die Lifts, bemerkenswert zugewandt ist die gesamte Rezeption. Die Preise sind fair, bei sorgfältiger Wahl auch günstig. Nicht ganz so günstig erscheint die Anordnung der Frühstücksräume. Ein großer Vorzug ist es dagegen, dass es im Haus einen Durchgang zu einem Fitness-Studio und einer Bar gibt, wo man auch spätabends und nachts noch Getränke findet, und obendrein auch den einen oder anderen Bissen. Wir hatten ein schönes Wochenende im Hotel. Angereist sind wir mit 10 Personen, die sich außer der 2 Kinder alle vegan, 2 zusätzlich zuckerfrei, ernähren. Diese Sonderwünsche wurden von der Küche fantastisch umgesetzt. Hervorheben muss man den Service. Alle Menschen, die uns bedient haben, waren außergewöhnlich freundlich, persönlich und hilfsbereit. Hervorheben müssen wir Frau Auerhahn, deren Charme und Freundlichkeit nicht zu überbieten sind. Grundsätzlich ist das Schwimmbad sehr sehr klein, dass sollte man wissen.
