there were some minor points around the bedroom that indicated that maintainenance could be improved

Took the family out for Fathers Day, booked as my son is in a wheelchair, so I had to ask, was told accessible for wheelchairs, NOT… stones everywhere outside, horrendous to get him into the building. We were placed in the middle of room so not to be missed…but we were, waiting staff lack of knowing or telling you anything about the food. Then find out only option for Sunday was a Sunday roast, yet online it does give lunch menu, it should be mentioned to guests on booking more choices, now the roast choice was beef or fish or vegetarian something with curry. Long wait, to find out the beef is cooked to what they want not the guest…very pink and not only our table screwed up noses, seen a woman swap hers for her partners fish dish. We had given order of pudding at start but we waited and waited, to watch others get there puddings, waited, not till I asked for the bill did they realise we did not get the puddings. Yes offered it then but, I refused and wanted to go. Given a 10 percent of bill….thats not enough for spoiling our day, don’t get many days out with a severely disabled young adult. First impression count, so I will not be back

We found this hotel online and were delighted to find on arrival that its even more beautiful than the pictures show. Highly recommended for a short break with excellent dining

Overall we had a lovely stay at Knipoch. The staff were friendly and helpful and clearly working hard to give the customer a positive experience. Some 'tweaks' needed to the rooms however. Insufficient hangers, no hooks for coats and a very dodgy lock on the bedroom door. Breakfasts were great, but I wasn't keen on my dinner. Trout was beautifully cooked but spoiled by the thick tomato sauce and excess of mustard seed (I think) on the potatoes.

We recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at this hotel with our Golden Retriever, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The dishes on the menu were already great, but through very clever cheffing, they were elevated to another level that far surpasses expectations. My personal favorite was the venison dish, and the apple dessert was a true showstopper. The service was impeccable, especially from Morag in the dining room. She was friendly, professional, and made us feel right at home. From the warm welcome at check-in to the informative tour of the hotel, every detail was thoughtfully handled. The easy parking added to the convenience of our stay. Overall, we had an amazing experience and highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We can't wait to return!

Myself & my 80 year old mum had an exceptional one night stay here with our room overlooking the garden with sea view. Everything was quality about this place, the accommodation, the food, the setting & all the staff excelled. It was an absolute delight, we were sad to leave.

This property ticked all the boxes for us - great location, quiet, well appointed room, great staff.
