Muthu Oban Regent Hotel- Refurbished

Non c'è bisogno di essere nervosi per questo posto. Tutte le recensioni negative risalgono ad anni fa, prima della ristrutturazione. Tutte le recensioni più recenti sono piuttosto buone, inclusa la mia. Ho avuto due problemi. Uno, nella stanza c'è scritto che devi mettere una cosa sulla porta dicendo che vuoi che venga pulita, altrimenti non puliranno la stanza. L'ho messa sulla mia porta dopo la prima notte. La mia stanza non è stata pulita fino al terzo giorno nel tardo pomeriggio e sono andato via la mattina dopo. Due, la seconda notte che dormivo alle 2:30 di notte c'era un forte rumore proveniente dal soffitto del pavimento in cui ero e dal pavimento del piano sopra di me. Non sono riuscito a dormire e ho fatto così per circa 20 minuti. E non ero l'unica persona nel corridoio a sentire questo rumore. Devo dire che nel complesso è un posto in cui vale la pena soggiornare. Le persone sono molto gentili e la colazione è buona.

Just to be clear these problems have been reported to the hotel. We are just back from a one night stay on 14 September at Muthu Regent hotel in Oban refurbished, and compared to the old hotel it is much improved. The main complaint we had is the noise .. oh one of those you might say! but I am not normally one to grumble, that said when I am paying for accommodation I expect to at least get some sleep we were given room 121 on the first floor directly above the adjacent buildings cooling unit which runs continuously and is incredibly loud, when you couple this with no double glazing sleep is just a fruitless hope . There were a few maintenance issues such as the bathroom tap not being fixed to the sink and the handle on the window coming off in your hand! but I’m sure these can be easily addressed oh don’t try to charge your phone using the usb nearest the windows as they don’t work. Some housekeeping problems arose too when showering.. the drain didn’t live up to its name and you will be standing in a tray full of water, cut short your shower or it will overflow on to the bathroom floor which has some attractive paint patterns from the recent refurb still evident. I would like to apologise if this review comes across as negative and sarcastic it’s mainly due to tiredness, the hotel is attractively decorated and if you get a room away from the alley I’m sure you will have a lovely stay the bed was a queen size and comfortable to lie awake in tea and coffee are provided and flat screen smart tv will keep you entertained the lift seems reliable and breakfast ticked all the boxes this could be a wonderful hotel if a bit more attention was paid to the detail
