Boulenc Bed and Bread

This is a lovely little hotel that was beyond expectations. Breakfast and Tapas in the evening that could be enjoyed in the covered upper seating area was amazing. Fresh breads and pastries and sometimes cookies from the bakery Nextdoor. Fresh seasonal fruits, cheese, fresh juice, charcuterie multiple tea options and coffee. They even offered to make us eggs. We also liked that breakfast was set up to serve yourself until nearly 11. The staff was so helpful and friendly and always available helping with questions and tours. The location was excellent. One of the biggest parades was right at the end of the street and yet it’s a short walk down a more quiet street.

Fabulous stay. Room was an oasis of calm in a bustling town. Kitchen area is always open to make coffee/tea and pastries are always there (all free). Booze is available from the honesty bar. ‘Tapas’ from 5.30-7pm was not well attended when we were there but gave a good excuse to chill on the rooftop (awesome) and watch the sunset. This place is banging and in a great location, book it now.

We spent 4 nights here while we stayed in Oaxaca and could not have had a better time! The staff was lovely and incredibly helpful, the breakfast every morning was delicious (try the banana nut muffins!), and the rooftop deck was a dream. Oaxaca is a beautiful city, it's incredibly walkable and the hotel is located perfectly for anyone looking to explore. If you are looking for a small, charming location to stay while you're in Oaxaca, look no further!

We were in a group of 4, we occupied two rooms and spent three nights in this hotel (1-4.12.2021). Admittedly, the place is really tastefully decorated, but it is also very noisy due to the unsealed, poor windows, both during the day (traffic) and at night (3 clubs with parties nearby until 5am every other day). However, the worst thing that happened to us in this place was the theft of money. There are no safes in the rooms, only metal boxes / lockers, to which you can easily add a key. A total of $ 500 (6 x $ 50 from one, 2 x $ 100 from the other) disappeared from the rooms we occupied and from supposedly very secure lockers. The hotel manager was briefed on the matter promptly and with very specific details, but most of the time she played on time and accused us of cheating. Unfortunately, this is our first travel theft, we travel a lot and we have actually visited quite a large part of the world, so with this position of the hotel, it is most important to us to warn the travel community about this place. Or at least sharpen your vigilance very much.

Cuando llegamos y vimos la fachada del hotel nos quedamos sorprendidos pensando que nos habíamos equivocado. Sin embargo nada más traspasar la puerta vimos que había sido todo un acierto. Estuvimos muy tranquilos disfrutando de sus instalaciones. Cuentan con una preciosa terraza y todo el hotel cuenta con un sinfín de detalles y una decoración muy bonita. Entre esos detalles resaltar el aperitivo maravilloso, una cocina abierta en la que puedes prepararte un café a cualquier hora o tomar libremente una pieza de fruta. Incluso te dejan un frasquito de mezcal en la habitación para probarlo!! Los desayunos son los mejores que hemos probado en todo Mejico. El personal muy amable. Si volviera repetiría sin dudar y por supuesto lo recomendaré.
