Punta Brava

One of the best places I have been on earth. Remote, nature, unbelievable beautifull in every aspect : lodging, staff, food besides the environment. Trips you can make to selba, whales, rivers and surfing! Life showed me the secrets of our planet. Miss this place and experience already. Life changing 🧡

We've stayed in very rustic accommodations in jungle lodges in Peru, and this felt like luxury! Yes, there is mosquito netting over the bed (but then you slept very comfortably knowing you were safe from the little biters), and only cold water showers, but they were so refreshing after hiking or swimming, and only shocking on the morning we had to leave. We stayed in the separate cabin and loved all the space. Every evening, staff came by and let down the wall tarps in case it rained in the night, and the mosquito netting was set up for us, well before sundown. In the morning, the rain tarps were rolled back up, and our room was freshened while we were out on excursions. We totally agree with a previous poster who said the Aruscicito hike/canoe trip was the best. We saw the most wildlife/birds on this one compared to any other outing. I was very happily surprised at the lack of mosquitos! I'm usually a magnet for them, and I even stopped wearing repellent to dinner and never got bitten. (WARNING - I was eaten up in the Nuqui "airport" while waiting for our plane back to Medellin.) All of the staff were reserved, but friendly and helpful. The food is amazingly good for the location, and room rates include 3 meals a day. Alejandro is an excellent host. He was fascinating to visit with, speaks English very well, and was always checking in with us concerning activities or seeing if we needed anything. He even gave us some money back after we settled our bill, because our boat back to Nuqui was shared with several other guests, rather than just the two of us. No hesitation at all to recommend Punta Brava as a fantastic and comfortable place to experience the Pacific coast and jungle of Colombia. BTW, we are 60 and 61 y/o.

Punta Brava mas que un ecohotel, es una experiencia inmersiva en la naturaleza. Despierta la capacidad de asombro desde que uno llega y entra en contacto con la exhuberancia de la región. La localización es inmejorable, las cabañas son cómodas y acogedoras, la comida es un deleite y las personas son de una calidez única. Punta Brava es un lugar donde uno siempre quiere regresar, muy recomendado!

Es un sitio único, rodeado del hermoso Océano Pacífico y la selva, hecho para desconectarse y relajarse, una atención cuidadosa y una comida deliciosa, tienen actividades variadas y si uno no quiere, simplemente puede descansar. No es un sitio para personas con limitaciones físicas.

L’emplacement est extraordinaire au milieu de la nature ce qui permet d’avoir une vraie re connexion avec la nature. La plage est incroyable. Les repas étaient variés et très bon. Maria Silva qui gère l’hôtel sur place est efficace, professionnelle, souriante et toujours disponible.

Punta Brava es un paraíso escondido entre el océano Pacífico y la selva húmeda del Chocó. Es un lugar mágico con una hermosa vista, rodeado de naturaleza donde nos pudimos desconectar por completo y disfrutar de la naturaleza salvaje. Estuvimos muy cómodos, las camas y toldillos en perfectas condiciones, muy poco mosquito. El Lodge es rústico pero con mucho estilo. La comida de buena calidad para todos los gustos. Nuestros anfitriones siempre pendientes de nosotros y dispuestos a hacer nuestra estadía maravillosa. Volveremos....
