The hotel is absolutely amazing. It’s very quiet, peaceful with small and cozy territory where you can find animals just walking around. The staff was so hospitable and helped us book the trip to Mnemba island. I really enjoyed lying on the deck and watching the water rising, the best part for me was swimming right off the stairs of the hotel (once the water is up). The walk on the beach was also very pleasant :)

Probably the best location at Nungui beach. Walking distance to any major location at hungry and also close to the center of the attraction as well.
Plenty of rooms available but you should stick with Ocean view rooma even though it is going to be a little bit more expensive. You will not regret your choice

Non esagero se dico che abbiamo soggiornato nella migliore camera vista mare di tutta Nungwi, la Marhaba suite di Langi Langi è FANTASTICA! La struttura è letteralmente sul mare, la camera è al secondo piano, perfetta anche per privacy, il balcone da direttamente sull’oceano con una vista mozzafiato, la camera è grande e molto pulita. Rastaman e il suo staff sono gentilissimi e accoglienti, ci hanno coccolato per tutto il soggiorno, si vede che ci tengono alla soddisfazione del cliente. Il ristorante è veramente buono, con prezzi competitivi. Anche la colazione è squisita, un piccolo buffet e il resto su ordinazione che verrá preparato sul momento! Io e la mia moglie ci siamo trovati benissimo, non volevamo andare più via!! Unico rimpianto di questa vacanza a zanzibar è stato non soggiornare più notti a langi langi, perché avevamo prenotato gli ultimi giorni a Kendwa! Mirko e Fatma!

Location incantevole….!!!!direttamente sul mare, atmosfera romantica a “lume di candela”…. piatti buoni e ben presentati.. cucina locale ed internazionale … servizio super veloce….personale gentile ed efficiente.. rapporto qualità/prezzo buono!!

Awesome hotel in nungwi. First time I visited this hotel was on my honeymoon in 2008. Since then I have stayed at this hotel over 10 times (I live in dar es salaam). Just love how much peace I feel when I get to this hotel. One of the reason the service at this hotel is so good, is because it’s owner operated. Seleh is an awesome host. Whenever we go fishing and come back with fish, he arranged to cook it for us. Always makes tea for us at sunset or after dinner. Even the one time I was staying at a hotel nearby and brought some friends I made there to show them the nungwi beach, he still made tea for us free of charge. I visited late April and ate two nights at Baraka, a Restaurent on the beach, last night we decided to eat at langi langi and the food was really good. We regretted not eating all nights at langi langi. I had the prawn curry, my daughter alfredo. And he made complimentary salad which was also really good. The sea view rooms are really good. The beach is one of the best in zanzibar. Mnemba has awesome Snorkling (you can also hire Snorkling gear and do some decent Snorkling around 200 meters from the hotel). Lots of water sports. We hired jet ski (55,000 per 15 minutes, paddle boat (get plastic not inflatable 25,000 per hour), hired a boat to go bottom fishing). I also recommend hiring scooters from outside the entrance of langi langi and taking them for a spin to kendwa rocks or the zoo (animal sanctuary), or swim with the turtles, nearby.

We spent a month at Langi Langi in Nov/December 2024. We had a fantastic time and this was due largely to the wonderful staff. Pauline on reception was the first person we met, on reception and she was so friendly. All the staff were very friendly and polite. The rooms were so clean, and comfortable. The restaurant had the best view, and the food was beautiful, fresh and home cooked. We often had fish that had been caught just hours earlier and it was so tasty. Breakfast was tasty, there were omelettes, bruschetta, fruit, cereal, cakes, juices, prepared to order. Toast, cake, so much variety. The absolute star of the show is Rasta, the owner. Always had time to chat, and also to help out and give his staff a hand, be it clearing tables, or cooking the freshly caught fish, it says it all, he respected his staff, his staff were happy, and that showed in the way they treated customers. The location is absolutely perfect. You are just steps from the wonderful beach with gorgeous sunsets and a clear blue sea. There is a beautiful pool in the grounds that is very clean and has plenty of shade if you don’t like the sea and sand. We can recommend Langi Langi so highly, and we are going back again this year. In 10 months time. Counting down the days already. Thank you to every member of staff, the cleaners, the waiters, security staff. You made our holiday wonderful. Emma and David.

As previous reviews have mentioned, this hotel is old, dated and desperately in need of updating. Our room on the top floor had amazing views over the sea (the sunset was stunning) but the room itself was pretty grim. The first room was unclean to the point we refused to accept it and requested a different room (which was cleaner, thankfully). The bathroom was dated and not particularly pleasant to use. The bed was ok and the air con was great. Wifi was slightly unreliable. Access to the room was via steep steps (staff didn't offer to help with luggage). The pool area was....weird. It was set back in the garden section of the hotel and it felt a bit dark and unclean. We didn't see anyone use it during our stay. Breakfast was very basic,but staff at breakfast were friendly, as were the cleaners. Reception staff were not particularly friendly or engaging. Would not recommend.

Langi Langi is in desperate need of upgrading to compete with the other hotels neighbouring,. The food is very basic and the wifi is worse than intermittent, no good if you’re needing to work a few hours per day as speed is too slow and most of the time not working. When checking out and finalising my bill I was charged 5% charge for my card payment, it seems that there is no set limit for charges so either pay in cash or challenge the percentage. The view from the bar / restaurant is truly amazing to watch the boAts go by and of course the wonderful sunsets.
