This Residence Inn does not meet Bonvoy standards, I give credit when its due, but here it is not. The following observations drew me to this write up: 1. Upon arrival I needed an ironing board, and because I am in a handicapped room, the ironing board was significantly smaller, so called desk and asked for a regular size one. Housekeeping brought one to my room and it would not even stand when legs extended. So I called front desk again and he came up with another and I showed him how the original one was worthless. He took it with him. This was after a long delay in getting one in the first place. 2. I also asked him about icemaker- he said it is supposed to work and he would let maintenance know. Well by the time I went to bed they had not arrived. So I called front desk and said to have them come the next day. 3. When I tried to brush my teeth for the night, the sink in the bathroom area was significantly clogged. 4. When I took my shower in AM- the connection at the top of the showerhead was spraying water all over (it needed to be tightened). 5. Then when I tried to lower the temperature of the room, the thermostat had no down button, nor instructions on usage. 6. When I left for my job the next AM (0600) I told front desk of all these issues, he did write them down, but not sure he communicated them. I had that suspicion so I called the desk during daytime hours and shared same list. The person at desk took down the info and said he would put points on my account. I said that is fine, but I would just like these things fixed, and explained my history of management (30 years) and that if you do not hear about issues you cannot fix and prevent future issues. 7. When I got back to my room that night- the ice maker still was not working (and not note or message on why), but other things were fixed. 8. The next AM, I asked front desk if housekeeping could do my room while I was gone, she wrote it down. 9. When I got back to my room later that day, some things were done fine, but I had no washcloths. So I called front desk and they brought some up. Then while I was getting ready to eat, I noticed no paper towels were left. So I called front desk again and he said he would send one up, well that never happened. So, I had to call again during the day to see if this could be remedied while I was at work. I also asked about Ice maker and instructions for thermostat. 10. I also noted many areas on the floor I was on had the carpet bunching up - like it was coming loose from backing. This is a high risk of falls situation, wondering how no one from management was aware of this potential litigation issue.

For a Marriott hotel I was disappointed. The rooms carpet had stains and tears, mattresses are old, furniture in terrible shape. Vents for heat haven't been cleaned in ages. I think Marriot Corp should check in to the problems at this hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly. Young man at the desk while checking in at 9pm was very accommodating. Would never stay again for $150.00.

worst hotel experience ever! i stayed at this hotel twice for business. My first went well so i my agent rebook. the second booking was the absolute last. Two days I returned to the hotel from work i notice the someone had entered my room while I had don't disturb placard on the outside of the door. When asked management why my room was being entered with a DO Not Disturb sign, i was told that there was complaint of smoking in the area, so they entered my room while id been away for hours. True when entered they found I'm a smoker and there were cigars present, however the hotel has a no smoking policy NOT a no Tobacco on premises. Be aware and bring a camera to leave in the room when you leave.

We were here for a one night stay for my son’s lacrosse tournament and thank goodness it was only for one night. The reception rep (Nick) was very pleasant and courteous. Our room was nice and clean. However, the sofa bed was so bad and very uncomfortable! We did not get a good night sleep. Definitely recommend for them to make changes on this.

We checked in today and while we were in the room, a mice was running around the floor. I went down to the front desk to request for another room because of the mice issue. And all they can say us that they will just check us out and for us to find ourselves another hotel. They dont seem concerned about the mice which is a sanitation issue pluse being so careless in handling the matter.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. I’ve seen many different management teams and staff come and go. The management and staff is the best I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. The decor updates, the super soft towels and bedding are great. Being able to have my family gather in the living room with a full kitchen is priceless. Yet their prices are less expensive then a one room hotel. I definitely would highly recommend this hotel.

I do not write reviews, but this was a terrible experience, and I would stay with them again. We arrived in town for an extended stay due to a medical procedure for our daughter and stumbled upon this hotel and was assisted by Nick who was extremely helpful and got us an excellent rate. Due to the recovery time and a two week follow up, we decided to stay for a week in their two room suites. Unfortunately, due to an upcoming event (baseball tournament), Nick advised that we wouldn't be able to stay in the suite over the first weekend and would have to move to one of their two bed (queen and sofa bed) rooms on Friday and Saturday, but would be able to move back to the two room suite on Sunday through the rest of our stay. While slightly inconvenient due to us having to move our daughter who would then (now) recovering from surgery, but that would work since we would be moving to something close to the room were in, so all good. Upon checking into the room, you could see that the room was dated and not cleaned, but all good... we have seen worse. However, on the first night after returning to the room from dinner, we were surprised by a small mouse darting around the living room area of the suite. We called the front desk, and they were able to get us another room. At this point, it was late in the evening and our daughter’s surgery was early the next day, so we decided to accept another room. The next room was also a bit dirty, so we cleaned it as well and went to bed (we did not see any more mice). While the condition and the mouse might be enough for some to write a review, the part of the experience that causes me to write this review is not either of those things. Fast forward to today, Friday, the day we were supposed to switch the smaller room, my wife calls the front desk to see which room we would be moved to so she could prepare and was informed that they do not have us staying on Friday and Saturday, but checking out and returning on Sunday. This is a problem and an even bigger problem because I had to return home unexpectedly yesterday for an emergency, and now my wife has to move our daughter who is recovering from surgery with poor mobility and all of our things out of this room, get it all in the car, find a new hotel and get our daughter and things into the new location. While this place did not work out for me, it might work out for you, but for me service matters and the service and attention to detail here is not worth it.

We were originally a party of 6 adults & 1 toddler, so we reserved a suite with 2 rooms and a pull out sofa. We requested a crib, but was told it was first come first serve. We pre-paid $200/night for 2 nights. Unfortunately, we lost half our party to Covid, so with 3 adults left we decided to change our reservation. In order to get a smaller room, we would have to cancel the original reservation and forfeit the money. We could change the original reservation, but the rate was not guaranteed. We decided to stay 1 night and the rate went to $300/night. We arrived at 9:30 PM after a long trip. We entered the suite and there was a dim ceiling light over the kitchen/dining area. One room had a sink with a crack from edge to edge. The other room had no closet doors. The suite looked outdated and well used. The dining chairs were heavy and awkward to move. We found a small pot to heat water, but the ceiling light was so dim, that we could not read the range controls. The overhead microwave surface light did not work. Cell phone light did the trick. Although the room can accommodate 6, there was only dinnerware for 4. To access the Free Wifi we selected the network and according to the instructions, any browser could be used to log in. That was not the case, as both Chrome and Firefox gave errors accessing the login page. Finally we were successful with Edge. The Free Wifi is only good for email or browsing, if you want streaming you need to pay extra or be a higher level member. I went to rinse our cups and burned myself with the hot water. The hot water was scalding. The next morning I was cleaning dishes and turned on the garbage disposal. The entire place shook like an earthquake. At check out we told the desk clerk about the sink crack, scalding hot water and garbage disposal. She wrote it down on a sticky note and thanked us. She did not looked surprised. When we got back home we completed the survey. We got a prompt and perfunctory reply. We tried to reply and the email bounced, so we tried using the email below the signature (Jessica Elston Assistant General Manager Residence Inn White Marsh) and it bounced back too. The contact information was useless.

The team here have never let me down. Patrice is always so sweet and constantly smiling and Nikki was very kind as well. I get that parking space in any metro area, even the suburbs, is at a premium. As such, I'm always prepared to pay for parking. I love that as a Marriott Bonvoy member, the parking fee is waived. And the breakfast was individually wrapped items. We're still facing National Health Emergencies and just coming out of a pandemic that shook the nation. The fact they are cautious and considerate of both sides won me over, also. Being a hotel that caters to long term guests, many with kiddos, the rooms were well-kept. The usual expected spots were few. Cimfortable beds with foam pillows. Even the lobby area was comfortable. Overall, I would hands down recommended this hotel.
