From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the highest level of warmth and hospitality. Every team member we encountered was a genuine gift of their own. Owner & visionaries Steve Jacobus & wife Ericka are hands on at every turn and have created something one of a kind extraordinary. Sweeping views of ocean and jungle, finest furnishings, open air lanai settings, innovative food & drinks, gorgeous yoga shala, and terrific massage practitioners. I can’t begin to explain how perfect this trip was! The views, the staff, the beds/rooms, the food and speciality cocktails, and the yoga were all just perfect! The staff all were so kind and friendly. The culinary experience was better than food I have had in 5 star resorts around the world. And our yoga teacher was so educated in healing the body in easy and thoughtful moves. We hope we can return again in the coming years. We feel like we found a hidden treasure! We did happen to be there in low season so we were blessed to have a lot of quiet time.

Amazing place - wonderful staff, gourmet food, beautiful views. The staff made us feel so welcome. The hotel is elegant in an understated chic kind of way. Unique location. We saw wild monkeys from our room, and some other wild life. We are definitely going back in the future.

Our experience couldn’t be better. The hotel is great but what really makes the difference is the staff. They are extremely friendly, helpful and always with a great smile on their faces! Special thanks to the concierge Jeffrey that really stood out with the service provided and help through our stay.

We had a gorgeous 3 night stay at Tierra Magnifica, to finish off our Costa Rica trip and celebrate my birthday. It's a truly special place, with idyllic views and extremely kind staff. I have a number of complicated food sensitivities and the waiters and chef went out of there way to ensure I could enjoy good food and even made me a water melon birthday cake! We hope to come back here again soon!

We stumbled onto this hotel after a bad experience elsewhere in town. What an incredible place to arrive to! We booked our room and showed up 20 minutes later onsite, and Roy and the team acted nothing of it. We were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality, the room was exceptional, and all the details and touches were in place despite the quick turn (personalized note in the room, welcome drinks/snacks, etc). This level of service continued throughout the stay and is really what made Tierra Magnifica stand out to me. Great conversations about life in CR with Cesar at breakfast and dinners, Chrissy greeting us warmly in the mornings, Daniela sharing her passion for wine at the tasting menu dinner, Caroline (sous chef) presenting each dish with a story of it's origins, importance, and relevant to Costa Rica, Roy sending us off at checkout with a printed map to ensure we had the right route. Ever person we interacted with was genuine, warm, engaged, greeted us both by name, etc. making this stay feel more like staying in a friends home than a hotel. All the right touches are in place as well: great bedding, great AC, wonderful food, good drinks, equipment to bring to the beach, UNREAL view, etc. Love this place and hope to return!
