Park House Country Guest House

What an amazing and stunning location with brilliant hosts. The house is spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. The hosts Brett and Alex cooked an amazing meal last night for me and again for breakfast I can’t fault any part of my stay, highly recommended. Thanks Brett and Alex for letting me stay in your wonderful home

The room was average but clean. The set dinner wasn’t great value for money. Unfortunately breakfast was a real let down as they only serve brown bread. I suffer from Crohn’s disease and can’t digest brown bread. When offering a service to holiday makers they need to cater for all and not push their own dietary choices (no fried eggs either) even if only keeping some white bread in the freezer for those who don’t like / can’t eat brown bread. I went out for a day’s hiking with only a cereal for breakfast. Bacon and beans without toast isn’t a good breakfast.

After a 24 mile hike through the Vale of York, this beautiful guest house was the perfect place to kick back, relax and recuperate. Slightly off the beaten track and half way up a hill, the closest pub was a little walk away. However, our ever attentive hostess not only dropped us off, but picked us up after our evening meal at The Blue Bell Inn in Ingleby Arncliff.

We had a great stay at Park House whilst completing a few legs of C2C. Our room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was great, hosts very helpful with pick ups for our walking. Local pub for evening food was first class too. I'd recommend for walkers or a quiet break. Thanks for a great stay, Iain

I've been meaning to leave a review for some time, this was the second visit and will not be the last. This is home from home, there are no other words. Beautiful country location with fabulous walks on the doorstep. Breakfasts are made to order and set you up for the day. In the evenings we ate at the The Blue Bell down the road (within walking distance and much needed to burn off the food on your journey back!) where the food was devine. We haven't had a bad meal there, booking ahead is essential. Park House is warm, comfortable and relaxing and nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. It's clean, accommodating and has lovely tea and coffee facilities in the rooms; the themed rooms all have their own decor and 'stamp' on the place. It's dog friendly with a lovely enclosed dog run on site. We absolutely love it here and can't wait to return!

This is a really fabulous place to stay! It was great fun, very stylish and an incredibly well thought out experience. We were enthusiastically welcomed, taken and then picked up from an evening meal at the pub in the village, and we had a really nice breakfast. Our room was cosy and ultra clean and a happy place to wait out the overnight storm. Thank you :)
