Galtres Lodge Hotel & Forest Restaurant

地點好(轉個角就是大教堂） 但它是餐廳附設的旅館 所以check in時等很久 櫃台完全沒人 按鈴 打電話都沒人 等了有10分鐘以上 還有其他人也在等 沒電梯 有幫忙拿上去 （4樓） check out等沒人 自己扛下來 也等了好久才有人來check out 住閣樓 有點冷 被子不夠暖 備品不錯

性價比蠻高

Am excellent hotel ,with very professional staff and world class customer service that larger hotels could learn from .david the manager is a true gentleman.could not recommend enough. One of the best UK hotels I've ever stayed in and I will definitely visit again

Wow! Absolutely loved everything about it. Perfect location and a stunning hotel. So much character everywhere. Staff are great and we had a meal in the restaurant which was superb in every way. And breakfast was a treat too, we’ve been speaking about a trip to York in the winter and there is nowhere else I’ll stay.

Lovely little boutique b and b very central, round the corner to York minster. 5 min walk from shambles car park which was easy to use, however we pre booked parking £54 only to get a message from hotel 24hrs later to say you get discount for staying there, why not tell you when booking ?. We stayed in room 12 at the top of the hotel, it was very clean and cosy but noisy from the street from 6.30 in the morning, Toilet seat was loose I nearly ended up on the floor. also because of the beautiful oak beam features I walked around bent over most of the time spent in the room, though a younger person might not have minded. Stairs were very very steep what you would expect from a property like this. On the upside breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice especially the porridge, staff were friendly and helpful.

We loved this hotel. It's a great location - we could see York Minister from our window. The Shambles were literally minutes away. Hotel room was lovely. The Molton Brown toiletries in the bathroom were a very nice touch as well. Parking - we ended up booking a spot via Just Park on the outskirts of York as the recommended place (Q parking) - seemed to have mixed reviews and was fairly pricey - IMO.

really friendly and helpful staff and in a good central location. we were there for my wifes 50th and our wedding anniversary. despite finding mould in the shower we had a nice evening meal but found hair in the breakfast which was replaced undercooked. the second breakfast was marred by the table not haveing been cleaned from the previous evening which is when we took pictures. had we realised the extent of the mold, we would of found a new hotel on day one

Fab location but needs a little TLC. We were allocated Room 2 which over looked the secret garden The curtains wouldn’t shut properly as half the hooks were hanging off the rail. The carpet could do with replacing and there are items in the room that make it feel old and dusty ie suitcases/boxes on roof shelves. The bed was clean but the mattress had a slope on it which made sleeping a little awkward, the pillows were lovely and comfortable. The ensuite shower is horrendous all black slate tiles and black grout which didn’t make it inviting at all. it was missing an extractor fan as the ensuite was so damp and steamy after using the shower it was a haven for mould and with the black tiles and grout made it difficult to determine if mould was present. The breakfast was lovely but wasn’t comfortable in the dining area I’m not a fan of the plastic artificial follage decor as it’s difficult to maintain cleanliness again a haven for dust. Very disappointing

The Galtres Lodge is a great location to stay in York. It is steps away from the Shambles and York Minister. It also has a wonderful restaurant attached called the Forrest which served one of the best dinners we had in England. . We highly recommend a stay here.
